The blue ones that I've seen have been on the large size. I'm 6 foot 5 inches, and the first one I saw about 6 years ago was floating alongside me, and was longer than me.

The one I saw on this occassion was washed up on Ao Manao beach and was about 2 feet in diameter.

Big Boy, one the size of the 1st one you talk about will prboably kill you if it wraps itself around you.

Caught today a biggie on Thip Urai beach. A brown monster about the size of a basketball.

Don't worry, I did. About 3 hours later when my son persuaded me to go in to the water with him (I hadn't told anybody of my swimming partner at that stage), I found myself running from a paper bag soon after re-entering the water.

You should have saved that one for the photo competition. I'm at this moment studying it and looking for lottery numbers in the skin pattern. I guess you could wear it as an amulet also.

By the by, when is the next photo competition kicking off, anyone know? Pete

Good idea, Pete. There probably isn't one yet that protects you specifically against jellyfish stings. I sense a business opportunity...

... just encase it in glass, put a band of gold around the edge, hang it on a chain, or bit of string with a bar at the back to offset the weight & bob's your amulet! :D
