Have passed to my HH/Phetchaburi friend

She's concerned she won't be allowed Pfizer having had SV/AZ 1 & 2, but if I'm reading correctly she has the choice yes?(At Cha am that is, at HHH she would not)

She's also concerned as someone has told her Pfizer may cause her a problem later in life??? People do say these things, it's their prerogative

But see this from Australian Government which I have sent her

Her reasons for wanting Pfizer this time is that she perceives it's the 'best' vaccine.

It may well be, but I've simply offered my view that it doesn't mean other vaccines are (choosing my words very carefully) rubbish!

At Cha Am hospital for the walk in vaccination you have the choice between Astrazenaca and Pfizer regardless what your 1st 2 shots are

Strange, I received an e-mail from Intervac this morning with a PDF attachment, which was an International Vaccine Certificate showing 3 jabs. The cert had a QR Code, which when scanned produces an International Vaccine Certificate showing just 2 jabs

Apart from travel to the USA why does anyone really need the paper vaccination passport? Very soon Mor Phrom will be compliant (currently in test) with the EU Digital Covid Certificate, which is also recognized by IATA and the UK (which recognizes Thai vaccine certificates anyway).

That is the point, the International part of the app isn't updating with the 3rd booster shot i.e. scanning the QR Code on the app should produce an electronic International Vaccine Certificate. At least, I've followed the instructions and mine only produces shots 1 and 2. Yes, I can see the 3rd jab in several areas of the app, but it won't display on the necessary International Vaccine Certificate.

I like Mor Phrom and have used it numerous time to gain access to places despite having hard copy evidence, but it's no good if it isn't working correctly - or can you explain where I'm going wrong?

Why will people need something more than Mor Phrom? When there are several people in a household, but they don't have enough phones for everybody. I know a couple of Farang families where they have 2 phones between 3 of them.

Interesting. Only place I've ever used my app was at Bluport last Friday for 3rd jab

Was that Mor Phrom or Mor Chana? I think the Mor Chana is what they ask new arrivals to use. Mor Phrom is actually useful - saves you carrying a folder full of information with you.

Anyway, we're drifting well off the 3rd Booster topic (although updating Mor Phrom with additional booster information is relevant).

The international certificate is not the same as the EU Digital Covid Certificate. The EUDCC can be accessed by tapping on the Digital Health Pass in Mor Phrom (app and LINE), though it's still under test.

If it would reassure your friend, you might like to point out to her that no vaccine in history has ever had long term adverse effects, and that mRNA vaccines like Pfizer are if anything, even less likely to do so.

This is due to the fact that the components of all vaccines are eliminated from the body within a short space of time so there's actually nothing left that could cause long term side effects - and mRNA is by its very nature, more short-lived than any other vaccine type.

As stated by an epidemiologist in the article below:

Vaccines are just designed to deliver a payload and then are quickly eliminated by the body,” Goepfert said. “This is particularly true of the mRNA vaccines. mRNA degrades incredibly rapidly. You wouldn’t expect any of these vaccines to have any long-term side effects. And in fact, this has never occurred with any vaccine."
