It's becoming a joke now. Total joke.
Mate - a shed load of matches and events have been cancelled across sports. Welsh rugby in dire straights with both top league and lower league games cancelled or postponed - the few played will be without supporters (closed doors). It's a huge hit financially for them. Top Wendyball clubs will comfortably survive - just a bitch for supporters..... No offence

Nah, totally agree and feel sorry for the clubs that will struggle to stay afloat. It's all just one big balls up.

There's nothing in BBC Sports about the Spurs/Crystal match being postponed.

Lots of headlines in the papers about it being SET to be cancelled. Leaving it a bit late but it is a London derby.

This is the latest I can find about an hour ago now, suggesting the game is still on but with fans angry about the lack of clarity!!

A further update.

Seriously though, one report says it's expected to go ahead now unless there's any further positive cases of a virus that isn't affecting healthy athletes.

Then another report says it's off.

If they have 8 or 9 players positive like we did, that's fair enough. If it's just a few then, sorry, crack on with the game.

Apparently, Patrick Viera won't be in the dugout today due to covid. I believe it's the same for Steven Gerrard in Villa's game against Chelsea.

From BBC:
It looks like there’s at least seven out for Palace, either through Covid or injury. Guaita, Clyne, McArthur, Milivojevic, Eze, Olise, Benteke.
+ Vieira

We'll have to wait and see which one is more reliable source BBC or Spuds News.  :D

Out through injury doesn't count. That's part of the game. You can't ask for a game to be moved because you have too many out through injury. Anywho, the Premier League refused Palace's request so all good. Now just hoping for a good game but we haven't started particularly well. :(

38 minutes in, 2 nil up and Palace down to ten. Happy days. West Ham losing. If only Arsenal could have a little dip in form, too.

Couple of cracking games to catch up on on match of the day. City were 4 up, Leicester pulled it back to 4-3, but City have put another in. West Ham/Southampton 2-3 currently. 6 goals in the spurs and arsenal games.

Hopefully Villa-Chelsea serves up a treat, too.

Yup, Palace were taking the absolute piss trying to get the game cancelled. Glad they got stuffed by us in the end. :cuss: :banghead:

Today is Tottenham's first away game for 51 days. This is the longest gap between (away) games of any team ever in the premier league.

That’s a long wait to record a defeat :duck:
