It appears from that report that Astrazeneca seem to call the shots. They refer to Siam Bioscience as their 'manufacturing partner'.
It would seem on the face of it (but I'm guessing) that Astrazeneca (Thailand) had a say in choosing Siam Bioscience to manufacture the vaccine. I wonder just how much involvement the UK had. Astrazeneca (Thailand) is wholly owned by Astrazeneca Plc which is a British-Swedish company with it's headquarters in Cambridge.
I wonder if the parent company accepted the recommendations of Astrazeneca (Thailand) without question. Although the Country President of Astrazeneca (Thailand) is European, senior management under him consists of Thais.

Hua Hin Hospital would like to inform the public about an adjustment of the Covid-19 vaccination schedule.
Hua Hin Hospital has only received 930 doses for the first round of vaccinations which is not enough.

Appointments for the following locations will continue:
1) Hua Hin Hospital, scheduled for 7 June 2021 (orange building)
2) Hua Hin Hospital, scheduled for 7 June 2021 (yellow building)
3) Hua Hin Hospital - Location 3, scheduled for 7 June 2021 at 09:00AM - 11:00AM will change location to Hua Hin Hospital (orange building, 10th floor) from 09:00AM - 16:00

We have our appointment on the 1st of July at Cha Am hospital, done on mor prom app and confirmed when I went to register at MV
So we just have to wait and see, no other info so far
But, just a small detail, if they have no vaccines well ....

The firm said it will deliver the first locally-produced vaccine to the Public Health Ministry within days.

It did not say exactly when the company will deliver the vaccine, but a company source told the Bangkok Post that the company will deliver the first batch of 1.8 million doses to the Public Health Ministry this week so the ministry can use it as the key vaccine under the government's mass vaccination campaign starting next Monday.

It is clear they're not going to meet the targets - and this is just for the first dose. 1.8 million is less than a fifth of Bangkok's population.

Have any studies been done on efficacy should the second dose be delayed by several months (which is likely to be the case here)?

Well UK has figures for 2nd AZ dose being 12 weeks after 1st because that's what they did. I think Thailand's planned 16 week delay is a first. So who knows? As for Sinovac, that has to be only a few weeks gap because first dose efficacy is so low.

Thailand knew and acknowledged that the time between 1st and 2nd dose of Sinovac was to be 2 - 4 weeks.

That was back at the beginning of March and probably before. The announcement of 16 weeks, to be fair, was stated for the AZ vaccine, not Sinovac which they have always acknowledged as between 2 - 4 weeks apart.

The 16 week gap fits in with Oxford's latest studies. They recommend the second dose AT LEAST 12 weeks after the 1st.

My point being - if they don't have enough for the first doses, the gap to the second could well be six months or more which could affect the efficacy of the first one. What would be good to know is the maximum recommended time between each AZ shot since we're in for a long wait here.

It doesn't appear that a maximum has been published. However, Ireland have just reduced their 16 week gap (Thailand wasn't the first) to 12 weeks. So it appears that 12 weeks will be the accepted norm.

Just set up my plan B backstop. I’ve registered with Thonburi Healthcare for moderna jabs in their Chumporn hospital sometime from October. They’ve started registering interested people now

I live in Bang Saphan which has had no significant outbreak and isn’t a major tourism centre, so at this stage it looks like we’ll be very low priority for the state vaccine programme. Will register for that too as and when it’s even possible
