You're actually right! Watching the coverage at the moment and it's good telly. :D

Can't see how the game can be allowed to go ahead as the fans got into covid 'red zones' (including the dressing room) in the stadium. As it stands, supposed to kick off in 6 minutes but the team buses haven't even arrived yet.

Match postponed.

Can still look forward to the biggest game of the day, though -- Tottenham vs Sheffield United. :D

Dele Alli gets a start. Great hair extensions. What with that and the Bale ponytail, it's difficult to know what to go for. Think I'll stick with the Kane quiff for now...

Spurs 4-0 Sheff Utd

Hoorah! It's been a while since Spurs made me smile. A great performance, despite the best efforts of the officials: how the SU player was not sent off for stamping on Lo Celso's head escapes me completely, and Son was denied a great goal by another absurd shirt-sleeve VAR offside decision. Add on a couple of missed sitters and it really should have been much worse for SU.

Never mind, a great performance from Bale - his third made me choke on my spag bol. Okay, it was only Sheffield United, but four more performances like that and we might even make next season's Europa League...

Can't say I've seen Spurs/Bale play, but certainly Bale has been given a fair amount of sh!te in the press - not playing well, costing too much money (well obviously) etc.... So how is he really in the eyes of Spurs fans?

..... Might just try a Spag Bol myself now! :thumb:

Well he’s Welsh, so that must be a good start in your eyes!! Yesterday he showed that he still has the skill to turn chances into goals, certainly better than a lot of other players can manage - his first goal, although not spectacular, many other players would not have been able to do - his third goal wasn’t bad either. Pity he demands too much money though. Everybody’s (well most people’s ) favorite player had a quiet game.

I guess we now have to sit back and see what punishment is handed out to Man Utd. It think a hefty fine plus a 10 or 12 points deduction would be appropriate. It would certainly ensure both the club and its fans are punished appropriately. plus making the end of season more interesting.

As for the fans, what a bunch of losers/tossers. One of the biggest games on the football calendar, and of course loads of TV coverage. Do they really think climbing on top of goal nets and stealing the corner flags will go unnoticed. and escape severe punishment? Absolute brainless arseholes. Yes, they have a right to protest, but not criminal damage/theft. I hope they are very proud of themselves.

The only surprise to me was that considering the protest was well advertised, how few police and stewards were in attendance, at least initially. I read this morning that no FA rules have been broken, so no punishment. Seems a bit fanciful to me, but we'll see. I don't see any points deduction happening.

The club were actually very negligent by having insufficient security. As you say, it was well publicised, so they should have taken precautions.

No rules broken? FFS one of the biggest games of the season was postponed. I remember the trouble Exeter got into years ago because they couldn't field a team when they didn't have enough fit players. Also the threats Plymouth endured when they'd run out of players during their 'receiver' stage, and had to field schoolboys.

Because its Man Utd, and people all over the world were watching, no FA rules have been broken - BS! So the next time a lowly team can't field 11 players, they simply organise a riot, and a blind eye will be shown.

Totally agree, the big clubs and supposedly star players are ruining the game. Manure, liverpool chelsea man city spurs and arsenal are not sports orientated they are businesses wanting to make money, or rich mans toys.Their players cheat, touch them and youy would think they had been hit by Mike Tyson, they scream land roll over for any slight touch and the money they get (not earn) is obscene.
Manure should be docked 12 points next season and banned from European foot ball for 3 seasons. :cuss: :banghead:
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

Although a lot of Premier League players are overpaid mamby pambies, they can hardly be blamed for the actions that the supporters took at Old Trafford. We’ve already seen what the owners of the clubs think by their actions with the Super League and they are the ones that are guilty of encouraging these demonstrations - that doesn’t justify what happened, but it’s the root cause - money and greed!!

I think it's a tad unfair to suggest that it's only the 'Big 6' players who indulge in that. Unfortunately, it's endemic throughout the professional game. Even Crystal Palace, I dare say!
Manure should be docked 12 points next season...
I totally agree, but it should be this season. That would put them a point below Spurs. Coincidentally.
