1. Strauss
2. Fifth
3. Sand
... and a sort of western
I'm getting nowhere with this.
If the Strauss clue doesn't relate to one of the composers, what could it possibly mean?
Fifth - the 5th film of a franchise?
Sand - desert? Or is that too obvious?

I'm now thinking one of the Star wars franchise..Kind of western themed in a way, white n black hats and all that jazz.

Thanks. My German rusty (secondary school/no Google).
Peter Strauss seems to lurk in the back of my mind. Is he a porn star?

Some great answers!!!
All wrong.
Focus on the identified Strauss and you will get there, but I want to know the other two answers as well.

Yes, but I cheated.
200 Motels is a 1971 American-British musical surrealist film cowritten by Frank Zappa and Tony Palmer and starring The Mothers of Invention, Theodore Bikel and Ringo Starr. A soundtrack album was released in the same year, with a slightly different selection of music.
