when I'm on Assignmet in Germany I occasionally go to McD' overthere just because I'm with my fellow collaegues Which McD is their regular menu. I try to eat as healthy as I can as a Freelance Journalist abroad, otherwise you get fatigued early in your working day. but sometimes you just can't stop the cravings!.
Ahhh Yeah my last encounter with McD was on my way back from Pattaya @ the big rest area 35 klicks away from Suvarnabhum Airport. I ordered the for Thai taste extra develloped McRice. It tasted Aweful havent't ate such nasty Food in a long time.

It's going to be seen if McD's in Hua Hin will exepted like Burger King.

Richard my point entirely

Winkie i have read your list of symptoms i came to bloated are you telling me that europe is eating more msg than thailand because i have as yet not seen any 18 stone lumps of the thai variety yet the 18 stone lumps do eat McD in europe Minus msg of course
Then i realised i suffer from most if not all of the symptoms myself and was about to severely chastise mrs sarge when i realised disentoiation shortness of breath behavioral problems fatigue etc i can put down squarely to smoking old age and being permanently semi pissed :D :D :D
Just one symptom to the alternative KJD thanks i will stick to my msg

Winkie i just reread your prev post and the statement that it was not put there for just us i missed it
We in my house and there are many many more do not eat beef because of religion (mrs sarges ) just go to any market and count how many pork sellers and chicken sellers to the tiny ammount of beef sold trust me it was the farangs that are the biggest influence on McD by far

I love it when I read that daft line 'Why would someone go to Thailand that has the best cusuine in the world (agree) and want to eat a burger (or whatever)".

If a Chinese person emigrates to Italy is he/she never allowed to eat a chickens foot again ?

All posters

Let's put it into perspective

I eat Thai most of the time but the body now and again says 'I need some Farang food' Question of balance I guess

Always a roast dinner at Crawfords on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!1

Sarge

We can go on like this for ages!!!!!

McD have Beef, Chicken, Fish, Pork and Vegetarian Products. 90% (just a guess) of daily visitors are Thai. Again this is not a surprise. Like I said already (and you've failed to acknowledge a Thai Company (McThai) selling Thai products to Thais and Foreigners alike.

Why more Chicken and Pork sellers in the Market? Do you really need me to explain that?

With regard to the 18 stone lumps, excuse me, but you rasied that one, not me. Fat Europeans? Sure loads of them. Did I list obesity as one ofthe symptoms of MSG as you suggest? No!

Sure McD is fattening (i'm not defentding them at all), so are lots of other things, and we are all guilty of those.

I too, have no doubt that farang have been the biggest influence on McD, of course this makes sense, 80% of McD outlets are in farang countries!. McD outside of Thailand is a farang organisation.

The origin of this entertaining exchange of banter was NOT the influence of farang on McD, but your claimed social destruction of HH because one single additional fast food branch was opening in HH.

Anyway, my last email on the subject Sarge.........

Its been fun!

Used to know the meat inspector for Macs in The UK and after a little banter at a dinner party asked him ' How do you instill the cardboard flavour into the meat'. End of conversation!!!!!

End of my rant

Burger, that’s a fair point; I know some Thais here in Luxembourg and they all sit around on the floor eating jungle food all the time. I’ve never seen one of them in McDonalds yet.
