Isn't there a saying about mad dogs and Englishmen? :laugh: No where near that place today and they must be mad, and hopefully the rescue service is on standby. I'm actually surprised they would hold something like that in this heat, and that location is full sun to my memory being at the horse shows there. I hope everyone survives it. Pete :cheers:

Just watched the Highlanders Brumbies game and noticed the referees are sponsored by Specsavers, a recipe for fans`abuse.

^ British rugby has nothing over the southland concerning playing in foul weather. It seems every Super15 or NRL Oz/NZ match I've tuned in over the past month has been played in the rain, especially the evening matches. Pete :cheers:

Most ref's in the UK also wear the "Specsavers" - cracking piece of advertising IMHO.... whoever had that idea shares my sense of humour!! :thumb:

Anywho, as the LHG is finally ready for her shopping trip and my visit to Cardiff for the rugby.... I'm running out of the door!! :thumb:

73 to 27 the Jaguars over the Kings. :shock: :shock: :shock: Second win for the Jaguars, don't know how many if any for the Kings this year. It will be interesting to see if all three of these new Super 15 teams will be back next season? Pete :cheers:

Sounds somewhat of a bizarre game!! :shock: I'll have to find a link if some kind supporter has posted. :thumb:

Cracking day out in Cardiff yesterday (although "my team" lost .... again :roll: ) - however was even given a couple of hours grace by the LHG to partake in a couple of "beverages" with some long lost friends I bumped into before we headed home!! :shock: :thumb: :dance: Unfortunately I didn't realise until too late she had my credit card!! :roll: :cry:

Reputedly 68,000 + tickets sold and to be honest probably very close - although not all decided to watch the two matches...... I did along with a few friends and a few beers! :oops:

A couple of things I've been meaning to mention for a while - 1 'like' and 1 'dislike'.

Like - the Alex Corbisiero rap for Sky Sports shown during the 6 Nations. (Can't find a video anywhere unfortunately)

Dislike - the Exeter Chiefs chant and drums. They drive me mad!!

That I don't find too bad - you have alot very similar in French rugby for instance, but the bl**dy "Vuvuzelas" (which have come through from Wendyball) are a nightmare! :cuss: :banghead: When paying close to £100 for an international match and having a brainless tw@t behind you blowing one of these upsets me somewhat..... Should be banned from all stadiums IMHO.

Another like - Thomas Waldrom, Exeter no.8. (Just watching Exeter give Wasps a good hiding the other day)
I was going to say he must be one of the best no. 8s never to play for England, but when I googled him I saw he played 4 times some years ago. A Kiwi who only realised he was eligible for England (through granny) when he was c. 27. Great club player,m who looks a bit chubby but isn't!

(Yes, catching up on some rugby!)
