If travelling to Pranburi from Hua Hin, make sure you are in the right hand lane as you approach the first set of traffic lights. At the traffic lights you will need to turn right into Fort Thanarat Army Base (One person in your vehicle sometimes has to give up their ID at the second security check point. This is usually Mrs BB's ID card, but if she wasn't with us, one of us would have to give up our passport. To some, this might sound intrusive, but I have travelled to many military bases of different nations, and Thailand is by far the most relaxed I know. ID is collected on the way out).

Once inside the army base, you drive on a fairly straight road for about 5Km until you see the football ground on your right. There is always plenty of free parking.

I can`t wait to hear Big Boy`s report on the game today. What I saw today was nothing short of a complete shambles. We were all hoping that Hua Hin City FC could overcome an inferior goal difference and win the game by the required 4 goals. In truth, Hua Hin never looked like doing it and Prachuab basically stopped Hua Hin from playing. Most of the time this was taken literally. We created nothing, couldn`t pass to other team mates, created no real scoring opportunities and got what we put into the game - and that was a big fat zero. Once again, when it was blatantly obvious that several players were well below par, the Manager failed to make any substitutions.
He is clueless and surely his time is now up. We simply were not good enough today against a very poor Prachuab, who, I think, if they play like this next season, could head straight back to Division 2. Once again, the referee took centre stage with some woeful decisions caught on camera for posterity. After the final whistle went there were disgraceful scenes that I have never seen at a game in Thailand before involving most of the players of both teams that quickly involved club officials and several dozen supporters mostly from Prachuab. No doubt there will be consequences resulting from the crowd trouble and because Hua Hin were playing at home it will point the finger at us. It was a sad day all round really!!

Congratulations to the Prachuab team on winning promotion. Good riddance the animals they call supporters.

I have experienced football violence at places like the shed and Millwall, but this far outweighs any of that. On the final whistle, the Prachuab fans raced onto the pitch and attacked the Hua Hin City Team. At least one Hua Hin player was hospitalised and another extremely scared, in hiding.

A beautiful match was ruined. I'd hate to think what the Prachuab animals would have done if Hua Hin had achieved the impossible, and had won by the required 4 goals.

Davy, in my eyes the only Hua Hin supporter involvement was trying to quell the violence - Hua Hin City were totally blameless. Believe me, I've seen some mindless football violence in my life, but nothing like this. Prachuab need to be severely punished.

Punishment could happen, because they also caught the 5th official on the back with a significant missile (can of Leo, which exploded on contact).

We get out just after these animals attack our team,one thing I cant understand is why in the hell is there no more police or army to a game like this.

I think we were lucky that we had 11 men after the final whistle,our no. 39 should had a red card in the midle of 1 half and could easily got 3 more yellow ones, apart from the one he got,what a idiot

The refs here is a continuous joke so won't spend time more on these clowns.

I have to keep reminding myself that this is Thailand. Prachuab have won the 2nd promotion place and so other than taking that away from them I cannot see any justice being received by them. Their supporters were a total disgrace to the football club but they should never have been allowed on to the running track surrounding the pitch and also onto the pitch itself. If it was in the UK the home team would be held responsible for these acts and punished even though, in this instance, the Hua Hin City FC were totally blameless. There doesn`t appear to be any justice in the game over here - if there was Phichit should have been punished for still fielding 11 players after receiving a red card - and other teams for basically assaulting some of our players resulting in long term injuries. The Thai Football League seem to have their own agenda but scenes like what we witnessed today have put them back 20 years. I can just see us sitting on seats behind big metal cages if they don`t start getting their act together. Can they stop Prachuab or Phichit getting promoted? I doubt it very much!!

What a shame, here we are discussing the mindless violence of the Prachuab animals instead of celebrating Prachuab, Kiri Khan's first team to reach the first Division.

The relationship between Hua Hin and Prachuab supporters is so good, nobody could have foreseen a need for additional policing.

Of course, the animal fraternity is in the minority, but Prachuab should be punished severely. GBH is no joke.

On the other hand, a yound lad near to me threw a bottle of water, and was immediately admonished by Hua Hin supporters. If Prachuab can't keep the animals caged, then punishment is inevitable.

Fortunately there was plenty of video footage taken, and plenty of photos. Plenty of evidence if the police want to get off their backsides to punish the animals. Here are some of my photos (nothing that could be used as evidence):

Davy, while I agree with much of what you say, grouping Phichit and Prachuab in the same sentence is wrong. Phichit cheat - end of.

Prachuab played some nice football when they weren't laying around the pitch, time wasting. You can't dispute the team were deserving, I was actually stood up waiting to applaud/congratulate them when somebody let the animals off their leashes. It will be intersting to see if anybody can be bothered to deliver justice. If I was Nuttapong, I'd be demanding it.

I know I extract the urine with regards to "Wendyball", but this is truly a sad state of affairs. Why oh why does this kind of cr@p have to happen??

"If it was in the UK".... The sad thing is that this kind of cr@p does happen in the UK, but 99% of the time only in football - seriously, why?? I've seen the same **** in China, hence I would not go to games.

Alcohol as an excuse is BS - alcohol can be bought freely before, during and after matches in all rugby grounds/stadiums....... Interestingly, the VIP rooms at the Millennium Stadium have to close their curtains during the match as it's not legal to be SEEN ON TV drinking alcohol during the game..

IQ.... A big one in my opinion!! A vast amount of muppets out there following Wendyball!!

Tribalism - Also a big one IMO, however you do have the same in rugby - although not to the same extent.


All in all, certain tw@ts spoil the day for supporters and players alike - very sad.

Fair enough BB - you were there, I certainly wasn't. When I said it happens in the UK, I guess I was referring to the violence and stupidity, perhaps not to the degree of the events you unfortunately witnessed. That said, there has certainly been instances of fans attacking players in the UK.....

The one thing we can agree on, is that all involved are complete @rseholes! I love sport of all kinds (despite the fact that I will take the p*ss now and again), and truly do not understand idiots like these guys...
