Vana Nava Hua Hin City 3 - 0 BCC Tero

Before I start, I think wind up of the week award should go to Sabai Sabai. I fell for it hook, line and sinker

A fairly even match in the first half. The main difference being the safe hands of Shota. A Wongsawad free conversion saw Hua Hin go into the break a goal up.

The second turned into another farce thanks to some typical Div 2 refereeing. Before we go into the farce, An own goal doubled the Hua Hin lead, and Hua Hin's answer to Emil Heskey, Toranong made it 3. Toranong is such a carthorse, but eveytime I've seen him make an appearance, he scores within a couple of minutes of coming on.

The BCC tank, thankfully didn't get out of the blocks today - all credit to the Hua Hin defence.

The referee made some horrendous decisions. Stephens was sent off for an off the ball incident, which I didn't see. I was assured he was blameless.

Next, Surapon was poleaxed by the opposition. He got up and knocked his assailalant to the ground in retaliation. His assailant was sent off.

At this point I stopped enjoying the game, the referee decided it was all about him. A few bookings later, Kissana found himself clear with just the keeper to beat. He rounded the keeper, and the keeper brought him down - a straight (legitamate) sending off, but I'd already stopped enjoying this farce.

Having made 3 substitutions, BCC were left with an onfield player standing between the sticks. He had no interest in keeping goal, and Toranong's goal was a simple affair.

Still, let's look on the bright side. This was 3 valuable points, and unless Prachuab cock up big time this evening, we are 2 points clear of the chasing pack with 3 games to go.

This weekend sees the horrendous trip to Udon Thani - another game that we need to win. Incidentally, since losing 2 - 0 to us, Udon have not lost.

Yes, I read that at the restaurant. What a bummer. That means 3 teams at the top with 12 points, and our goal difference sucks. OK, they beat us after knobbling our defence the previous week, but what is Prachuab's excuse? :banghead:

I'm not a happy bunny this evening. Phichit's cheating against us has rewarded them with top spot.

Out of interest buksi, did they have their number 13 playing? He's the player who was sent off against us for seriously injuring one of our players, and then didn't walk. He still turned out last Saturday.

The reason I ask is that we had Yonsak sent off last Saturday, but he still played today. Or have we learnt from Phichit's cheating ways?

Oops, I wasn't on the wind up with regards Stephens and Lampty being banned!

I read it in this article here: http://www.kondivision2.com/content.php?id=5655

I just had to read it again, it actually refers to them both being banned the previous match, not this one! Thai is not my first language and the way it was written confused me! Apologies!

As for the game itself, the ref totally spoiled it for me, I'm afraid. He was absolutely diabolical, even prior to the sendings off. I've no idea what Stephens was sent off for(guess he will be suspended again now) but it seemed to me that he booked him, then realised he had already done so earlier in the game, so chased after him and gave him his marching orders. There can't have been many players on the park today managed to escape a booking! :banghead:

Only 1 home game left, we need to start winning away from home, starting this weekend would be nice!

Don't worry about, it brought such a smile to my face when I saw them warming up for the match.

Will he miss Sunday's match? Yonsak was sent off Saturday, but played today. Phichit's No.13 was sent off in the previous game, but still played last Saturday. I think we forget, TIT.

Yes, an impeccable home record, but an away record from hell. Unfortunately Udon Thani are about the best side I've seen in our league. Their early competition form was influenced by significant off the field problems. It was touch and go whether they would make it to Fort Thanarat. Even so, our 2 - 0 victory was very hard. Since then, they haven't lost, taking 6 points from Prachuab, and 4 points from BCC Tero. Only 2 points off the lead, they are coming up on the rails, and must be the dark horses to gain promotion. I hope that I'm wrong.

Yesterday, I introduced 2 new supporters - Geoff and Stuart - to our great little football club. They were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the football that we played and agreed with me that Lamptey was the "man of the match" - that was because we couldn`t give it to the referee who obviously wanted to make a name for himself. He was just as bad as that other dipstick we had last week that allowed Phichit to play on with 11 men still on the field of play after giving the Number 13 his "marching orders". The standard of the refereeing is abysmal verging on the comical. Who is training these people and what are Hua Hin FC going to do about it. All the games are recorded for posterity so lets make sure the Thai Football League view these games and give them their own red card!! Oh, Big boy touched on our woeful away record and dreadful goal difference, which is something I had mentioned on more than one occasion, and with difficult games away at Udon and Prachinburi to come it doesn`t look like getting any better. Our home form is very good and the goal difference issue could have been negated had we not missed another bucket load of chances that we had again today. Kitsana was the main culprit and even the goal he celebrated was an own goal!! Target practice for him this week I think!!

Yes, he is a very aggressive player and should have been sent off in this match also. Prachuab were simply lackluster, they started well as they usually do but just couldn't keep pace with Phichit who has the fastest squad I've seen so far. John Mary did nothing in the second half and should have been subbed, it was all the opposition and they finally equalized midway through. We put on some good pressure at the end but kept playing for headers which didn't materialise, John Mary went down and the ambulance had to come on in the 94th minute to take him to hospital. Prachuab stood there dazed waiting for the final whistle which didn't happen so Phichit just sped down the other end on their own and scored the winner in the 95th minute.

They look the best team so far, it'll be a scramble for second place I reckon and may go down to the last game of the round.

No idea how it works BB, obviously suspensions are served but with the 2 guys you've mentioned above, they've clearly not missed the next game after a sending off. The slight worry with Stephens is, he's just served a suspension, does this mean he may have to miss more than 1 game now???

I've read a couple of reports on the game but nothing mentioned yet about who is or isn't available for Sunday. Incidentally it mentioned in 1 report that Stephens' 2'nd yellow was for kicking the ball away.... I didn't see it myself. A bit stupid if he has done that whilst already on a yellow, especially with that ref but it was more likely just the ref being an a$&! His first booking was just before half time(44th min) seemingly but I'm struggling to remember it, whether that was worthy or not??

Hi dundrillin, welcome to the Hua Hin City FC part of the website. The answer to your question is in two parts. The team currently play in Pranburi within the Fort Thanarat Army complex which you will see if you turn right at the first set of traffic lights when going to Pranburi. Once you have passed the army check point follow the road for about 5 kilometers and you will see the stadium on the right hand side. The second part of the answer is that they are hoping to relocate to Hua Hin over the coming months and we believe the new stadium will be next to the new water park currently nearing completion. I understand that the Water Park is known as Vana Nava which has been adopted by the football club in their new name hence Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC. Keep your eyes on the Forum for upcoming information and details of the upcoming games and if you have further questions feel free to ask.
