Hua Hin City FC
Re: Hua Hin City FC
I knew there was a 4th team in the mix but I can`t read Thai so didn`t know who they were. What we have to concentrate on is winning OUR games and what they do becomes irrelevant. We have 3 big games - I call them Cup Finals - but they have to be played like that because they are VERY important and they have to be taken one game at a time. Northumburi at home is not a "given" and we have to be professional and go and do a job. I am not nervous anymore because I know we can do it. We just have to go and do it now. I call on all the people of Hua Hin and surrounding areas to come and support the lads at Fort Thannarat on Saturday at 4pm. Come early to avoid not getting parked!!
Re: Hua Hin City FC
A very one-sided (made by Krung Thonburi) video of last weekend's match.
After going through frame be frame, I eventually saw that the penalty was given for handball by the player lying on the floor - well done referee.

Just bumping this one. Another goal fest is expected today as Hua Hin City move to within 2 matches of winning the league. Why not pop along and enjoy the carnival atmosphere of Thai football, and watch the guys pick up another 3 valuable points.Big Boy wrote:

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Vana Nava Hua Hin City 5 - 0 Nonthumburi
It could easily have been a lot more, despite some squeaky trouser defending at times.
Hua Hin City are starting to look like champions. No serious criticism of any player this week, although Kissana needs to get a new pair of shooting boots.
I actually missed Kissana's opening goal (I was crowd watching to see if I could spot Davy B's fat boy shirt - it looked good by the way
)
I turned back to the field of play, and Kissana was accepting the praise from his team mates.
The second goal was right on the stroke of half time with Yongsak hitting a nice finish.
Early into the second half, Sutin made it 3 with a solo display from the halfway line. Now, I hadn't noticed Sutin until recent matches (don't even know if he'd been playing
). However, IMHO he is probably the man who pulled us from the doldrums. So what did he do? He got himself sent off with 10 minutes to go. I'm guessing that makes him ineligible for next week's crucial 6 pointer against Petchaburi.
Sutin then gifted Yongsak a second, when it would have been as easy to score himself.
Nitinai was brought on at the death, and scored with almost his first touch of the ball to make it 5.
It is good to see Anucha and Kissana playing together again, and their inter-play was really good this week. Both forwards had several scoring chances, and I thought Anucha had made it 6 when the ball came back off a post.
Nonthumburi disputed several of the referee's decisions quite vociferously, and the linesmen had to get between their captain and the referee at half time. Early in the 2nd half, the Nonthumburi captain was booked for a very bad foul on one of our players, and soon after this he was involved in another scuffle, which saw him being shown a red card.
Following the red card, the captain hit the referee (more handbags than anything else) but this caused quite a lot of crowd disruption. The police were escorting him down the tunnel, when he turned and ran at the ref again. He was stopped and led down the tunnel. At this point it looked from where I was sat that one of the VIPs sat in the VIP stand threw a can of beer at him. There also seemed to be fists flying at somebody entering the tunnel - this really got the crowd going, and it took a lot to quieten them down. Meanwhile, the ref and his linesmen just stood in the middle of the pitch with the watch stopped.
There had also been an earlier incident when somebody sat in the VIP stand lost his temper, and it took several persons to calm him down. In the UK, this guy would have been ejected from the ground, and probably banned from further attendance.
IMO, what has become the VIP stand, is a natural crowd break, and shouldn't be occupied. They have too much access to the player's tunnel, and it's easy to attack players and officials.
The trouble was caught on video, so I hope the culprits are firmly dealt with.
This trouble worries me. Since the last trouble, a little fat man has been at each match home and away. He parades to the edge of the pitch ahead of the teams, but never goes on the pitch. I'm convinced he's there because of previous crowd incidents. I'd really hate to see us losing points because of troubles at this stage in the season. I'm sure the little fat guy is from the Thai FA. Soon after the first sending off/crowd trouble, he appeared at the 4th official's desk and started writing.
The other 3 teams at the top don't play until tomorrow, so we're currently 5 points clear, with a very superior goal difference.
Next week is the penultimate game of the season at Petchaburi. Technically we could be crowned league champions next week. All being well, I'll be there. Anybody else going?

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Quite an accurate assessment this week I have to say Big Boy - about my Fat Boy shirt aswell. Many thanks to your wife and her friend that made the necessary alterations. We were first class today I have to say, although 5-0 flattered Northumburi I thought. We could and should have scored 10. The main culprit was Kissana who missed at least 3 clear cut chances when it was easier to score. The attitude was bang on today although Sutin has caused us a few problems today with getting sent off. He will be sadly missed next week in what is our biggest game of the season. I will have to get the maps out to find the ground so any directions would be greatly appreciated. Next week keep your eyes on the pitch Big Boy and on not on my Fat Boy away shirt!!

Re: Hua Hin City FC
For Davy B and anybody else thinking of travelling next week, I've just seen this saying it is on Sunday 14th @ 17:30.
Until just now, I had been informed it was Saturday, and we've been told the supporters bus leaves at 14:00 Saturday (must be having a party night out in Petchaburi).
I will get time/date checked out, and will confirm as soon as I know.

Re: Hua Hin City FC
The other 2 results are now in:
Looktabfah 0 - 1 Petchaburi
Muangkan Utd 2 - 0 Ratchapluek Muangnon
By my reckoning, with 2 games to go, it’s:
Hua Hin City 47Pts + far superior goal difference, which will be worth a point.
Samut Sakhon 45Pts
Petchaburi 45 Pts
Muangkan 44 Pts
Hua Hin play at Petchaburi next week and Muangkan are home to Samut Sakhon on the last day of the season. It’s all still to play for.
