Hua Hin City FC
Re: Hua Hin City FC
Yet another missed opportunity to close the gap. Two missed penalties and several good chances all wasted. Anucha showed some good touches but he had another disappointing game by his standards. The Rock, Lampty, was flawless again and was only really called into action a couple of times. We really need to get some shooting practice in as Muangkan were there for the taking today and we cannot afford to miss any more opportunities if we want to win this league!!
Re: Hua Hin City FC
I don't know what to say so i'll wait for tomorrow, but what a joke how they play some times.

Vana Nava Hua Hin City 0 - 0 Muangkan
I've been saying that today would probably determine the league champions. Well Hua Hin's inability to hit a barn door from 12 yards has seen them throw away their chances.
Overall, this was the best I'd ever seen Hua Hin play. It was the first ever 90 minute performance I'd seen. Unfortunately, Muangkan were very good as well. The last quarter saw both teams suffering from having played at such a high tempo.
2 first half penalty kicks in a 10 minute spell were wasted. The first by Owusu was shot several yards wide of the target. The second by Wongsawad was a joke - he tried to trick the keeper, but the keeper was having none of it, and stood tall. When the keeper didn't jump out of the way, Wongsawad had to shoot with no run up - it did force a save by the keeper, which bounced back to Wongsawad, but his strike of the rebound was easily gathered by the keeper.
Support for both teams was fantastic today, and it was pleasing to see more Farangs in the crowd.
To say I'm disappointed is a great understatement.

Re: Hua Hin City FC
I can only agree with Davy and Big Boy,I can't belive what I saw,the best ball they have played in all the games I been watching, but how we could not score on so many chances, just say how much we need a striker, who can put the ball into the goal without the fancy stuff, we have to look at now.
Happy to see next game is at home,so will see one more, before heading home for work.

Excellent - let's hope they put in another 100% performance for your last game.bsdk1960 wrote:Happy to see next game is at home,so will see one more, before heading home for work.
I've been saying for a while that they need somebody who is not afraid to shoot. Anucha is skillful, but he's been marked out of a few matches now. Kissana started the season well, and is quite skillful, but he seems afraid to shoot these days - the last few games I've seen him play, he keeps trying to walk the ball into the net rather than shoot, or set up a better positioned player.

Re: Hua Hin City FC
This is another great opportunity to get another 3 points. Thonburi are 9th in the League, and are way off the pace, so 4 or 5 days shooting practice could help us to get a good result on Saturday. It is getting tight at the top now and we have to make sure this does not come back to haunt us. Going back to the mid season break, we apparently signed a few players but was there a striker in among them? I have always wondered why when it comes to penalty takers that strikers should take them - after all the game usually relies on them hitting the target. Anucha is wasted on the left hand side and should be right through the middle - but he needs to get his finger out as he is a tad lazy and not interested if he doesn`t get the ball. His goal last week was a stunner!! We have a distinct lack of height in the team which I noticed when the teams were shaking hands at the start with all Muangkan`s players looking taller than ours and I thought they would cause us a few problems but Lampty and Stephens handled it brilliantly. Come on guys, shoot on sight!!
Re: Hua Hin City FC
I have been at the training ground several times waiting for Hua Hin City to finish so that my son's team get on. I've seen Anucha practicing free kicks (Beckham style) and he was getting a goal of forcing a save every time. Brilliant I thought. When it comes to match day, who takes such free kicks? In 2 years I've seen Anucha take them twice. I do wonder about the manager sometimes.
As I said above, Kissana formed a really good partnership with Anucha, and the pair of them were deadly together. I don't know if they've fallen out, but they no longer play together, which could be why Kissana was dropped last week.
A few weeks ago we started Toure, who I believe was a new signing. He reminded me of Heskey, but performed a bit worse. A bit of a carthorse. However, he was very strong and was making an impact (even though the opposition fouled him a lot), so the manager moved him to the wing. He tried his best, but was definitely not a winger. He was substituted, and I've not seen him since. Because of his size, I did think he might have potential as a target man.
Regarding Hua Hin's size, I think they are as tall, if not taller than most teams in the league. However, I think Kanchanaburi should be renamed Land of the Giants. I fully agree about Lampty and Stephens, they must be the best centre half pairing in the league. Surapon played a blinder in defence as well.
Muangkan aren't top of the league for no reason, and I actually think we were marginally the better side. All is not lost, and the season is still there, but unfortunately I think it is Muangkan's league to lose now.

Re: Hua Hin City FC
The coach must shoulder some of the blame, Big Boy. What exactly does HE see in training because it is obviously not what "we" the supporters see or want to see. I have moaned on here about a couple of things only to find things have got marginally better the following game. One such moans was that I felt sorry for the band members. They shout their heads off for 90 minutes and yet I can barely hear them 4 or 5 rows back and they are not even watching the game. The following week they had 2 megaphones instead of 1 and now it is up to three. They have to be shown how to switch them on now!! I noticed one of the Hua Hin players was using a "Petr Cech helmet" to protect a head wound. He was injured and signalled the bench that we was unable to continue. I stood up and shouted to the coach to make a substitution but he kept the guy on for at least 3 minutes until the next time the ball went out of play and even then the 4th official had to get his substitution board made up before allowing the guy to come off. These things albeit small could be to our downfall. We should be playing to our strengths and Anucha and Lampty are our star players. Lampty should go up for corners and he can score goals aswell. I know I should not compare Hua Hin to Man United but their best player is Rooney but as the main goalscorer why does he take corners and free kicks from 40 yards out? It is probably because he is likely to create something. So lets see Anucha and Kissana play up front together and lets see what he can do from a free kick - oh and penalties aswell. We have nothing to lose!! I am expecting a cricket score on Saturday!!

They used to have 6 megaphones, but I think there has been a big falling out amongst the cheer leaders. The old crew have gone, and taken their megaphones with them - I don't even see them in the crowd. If you need to hear them, sit in the same row as me.It was nice to see Mr Crazy Supporter & his granddaughter given a home shirt by the Mayor of Hua Hin on Saturday I noticed one of the Hua Hin players Our recently returned club captain was using a "Petr Cech helmet" to protect a head wound. He was injured and signalled the bench that we was unable to continue. We should be playing to our strengths and Anucha and Lampty are our star players. Lampty should go up for corners and he can score goals aswell. The manager told him to go up several times - eventually he did for the last quarter - I don't think you can blame the manager for that one, apart from not leading with a rod of steelI know I should not compare Hua Hin to Man United No, they're not that bad

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Come on guys!! Lets have some good shooting practice today. 90 minutes of constant pressure and attacking football. It is time to show what we are made of and to start putting some fear into the opposing teams coming to Hua Hin (Pranburi!!) and improving our goal difference at the same time!!!
Re: Hua Hin City FC
I hope your wish comes true Davy B, but I've only ever seen them play 90 minutes, and that was last week. Mind you, they say you're only as good as your last game

Re: Hua Hin City FC
I have no finger nails left after that. Again we missed enough chances to win 3 or 4 games. I don`t know if my old heart can suffer many more games like that. To their credit Thonburi made it very difficult especially in the second half. We really missed Lampty in the centre of the defence today. The Hua Hin right back had a very poor game and he was caught out several times and should have been replaced. I was impressed with the Number 39 who played up front with Anucha in the second half and hopefully this is a springboard to develop their partnership. I was expecting a cricket score today and although 1-0 is a victory from a smart finish, hopefully it will not come down to goal difference as this should have been 4 or 5!!
