Anyone see the Germany game? I was expecting a close, tightly fought contest.

But it was all too easy for the Germans and to be honest, based on their attitude and (non) performance, I really don't know why the Portuguese actually bothered turning up? They were woeful, Ronaldo clearly wasn't fit, Pepe was deservedly sent off (not withstanding Muller's initial play acting) and 2 key players injured and out of the tournament.

As for Nani - just what has happened to this player? He's become a nonentity at United and he's now a liability for his Country.

All credit to the Germans, but they won that at a canter and without having to try too hard.

Strange days.

Portugal will struggle to qualify, to be fair they were pretty bad in the qualifiers too

Such a shame to see a team with a fine man like Ronaldo being humiliated. And how awful for him that one of his teammates was conned into an overreaction that got him sent off...

Yep,Portugal were dire.They played like they had turned up at a pre-season tournament in the Isle of Man instead of a World Cup !
They were 2-0 down before Pepe was sent off and,as a United fan,I'm running out of superlatives to describe Nani's performance.

Brazil - Mexico a draw 0-0. Don't count out Mexico going forward. I only saw the second half but they took it to Brazil with superior possession and many more shots on goal. If something should happen to Neymar, Brazil won't have much of a team IMO. Pete

So, Coleen Rooney has flown out to Brazil with her two sons to be with Wayne until England's World Cup campaign is over. That's nice - bit far to go for a weekend though if you ask me....

In a way I feel badly for the guy. If he was being cocky and over confident, F him. If simply "one of those things", it will stick with him for life I'm afraid. Russia drew 1-1.....they have still got to play Belgium and Algeria and one win may well be enough to send them through to the knockout stages !
