Too many ex-Liverpool players as pundits (Hansen, Lawrence, Redknapp, Murphy, Carragher, James and I've probably missed a couple). I can't understand half of what Carragher say's, which is probably a good thing!

Oh, and Chelsea got lucky today! :D

It's been a bizarre season to say the least.

I simply can't believe that the unremarkable Spurs could still be in the mix should we win our next game. The only headlines that we've made were due to AVB's sacking and our fleet of underperforming 'Bale replacements'. Yet, there we are...'The Little Engine That Could'. The top teams (bar Arsenal - hats off to 'em) are scraping by right now - lost their mojo.

No wonder Champions League teams are wiping the floor with England's 'top teams'. Our mundane Spurs team could be nipping at our top team's heels again shortly. At this stage in the season to boot  .

It's been a rubbish season for Spurs, yet...

Edit: I actually think the title will go to either Arsenal or Liverpool with the other 3 (no, not United - not while Moyes is there anyway :D ) fighting it out for a Champion's League spot.

Not Premier League, I know. Just thought some people would like to see what the incredible Gareth Bale has been up to recently. :D

Don't rub it in Bale/Modric at RM

Ho hum... there goes our joint best away record (with Arsenal) in the premier league. For those of you who, like myself, would like to see Soldado doing his job properly, here's a reminder that he does in fact know where the goal is.

...maybe the goals in the Premier league are in a slightly different position. :?

Just reading an article about Adebayor and saw this statistic that I wasn't aware of...

He has scored almost one out of every two shots this season and his shot conversion rate of 42.1 per cent is the highest of any player in the Premier League.

Keep it coming Adebayor...

Yes, I agree (for once!). With a qualification. Adebayor has apparently scored 11 goals in 14 matches, but he is still the only scorer we have. A goal a game for a player seems to be less and less unusual these days.

I watched Real Madrid playing Schalke the other day. Different class altogether, and regular scorers all over the park.
Future News: Andre Villas-Boas offers Emmanuel Adebayor £4 million to stop scoring goals and making him look bad
Brooks Peck

Former Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas has offered striker Emmanuel Adebayor £4 million to stop scoring goals this season. Under Villas-Boas the 30-year-old Togo international was exiled to train with the club's U-21 players. Since the Portuguese was sacked in December, Adebayor has scored 11 goals in 14 matches across all competitions under current manager Tim Sherwood, including two in four minutes against Dnipro to send Spurs into the Europa League round of 16.

"I will give Adebayor my entire compensation package from Tottenham — £4 million — if he stops scoring all these goals," Villas-Boas told the receptionist at his local newspaper. "He's clearly doing it just spite me. These goals shouldn't count. Spite goals shouldn't count!"

Adebayor did not make a single Premier League appearance under Villas-Boas this season despite the struggles of summer signings like Roberto Soldado. Under Sherwood, he has become the club's scoring leader as Spurs have moved from seventh to fifth in the table.

This post-Villas-Boas bump is becoming something of a trend. Prior to his experience at Spurs, Villas-Boas was sacked after just seven months with Chelsea, where he drew criticism for attempting to phase out the club's veteran leadership in Frank Lampard, John Terry and Ashley Cole. But when Villas-Boas' replacement, Roberto Di Matteo, reinstated the trio, the club went on to win the Champions League that same season. Despite these consecutive indignities in the Premier League, Villas-Boas still aspires to one day lead Barcelona or Real Madrid.

"I would love to train either Barcelona or Real Madrid," Villas-Boas said to the disinterested receptionist. "It would be a dream to bench a player like Xavi or Cristiano Ronaldo."

Watched that too, and couldn't agree more. I think if Spurs were to play them right now we would be given a trashing just the same. That probably goes for most teams, though.

Yep, I fancy Real for the Champions League this season. Bayern vs Real final would be one hell of a game.

Their front line + Modric is full of pace, slippery skill and vision, almost like Liverpool at the moment but on another level.

They must really be screwing that they let Ozil go to Arsenal. Their new boy Isco has spent most of the season warming the bench.

Well IMO Spurs have been a disgrace to watch this season. The players that they have bought to replace GB have disappointed except maybe Christian Eriksen and Paulinho. Jury still out on Érik Lamela. The Norwich result was always coming. Stats of goals scored say it all without Bale last year we were in the same boat.

No CL for sure. Europa, out against Benfica. New high profile proven manager required, Louis van Gaal.

Get rid of Naughton, Chadli, Dawson, Sigurdson, Gomes, Livermore, Ekotto & Soldado. Maybe Rose also!!!

Another season bites the dust and this the worst in 5 years me thinks!!!

No,you dont want Louis Van Gaal. :guns: He ripped the heart out of Bayern Munich a few years back (not that thats a bad thing :rasta: ) and it took them quite a while to recover.......also very unpopular during his tenure at Barcelona.
You want a steady,proven,solid manager.......thinking about it,who could that be ?........aaah,yes,maybe David Moyes ! 8)

Regardless of what Mourinho meant, if Fulham should win this weekend the spin doctors will have the news buzzing claiming a "fix" was on.

Just been watching Stoke v Arsenal. Not sure what happened to Arsenal up front, but until Oxlade-Chamberlain came on very late, nothing much was happening for them. Stoke missed some good chances and deserved the win.

Stoke's 'robust' approach to their football is no great secret, but Charlie Adams is a thoroughly nasty piece of work. I often raise my eyebrows at the over-reaction of players these days, but in this case I was astonished at the restraint. In my day in the East Kent Wednesday League Division 2 (a smoke, a beer and a lie-down at half-time  ) anyone treading on a player like that (not once, but twice! ) would have been lucky to get home in one piece. And quite rightly so. I hope they throw the book at the snotty little git.
