Made for the American market?
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
Re: The Car Challenge
Are you referring to the original DBS or the later, V12 model based on the DB9? It could be argued that most Aston's were part of a limited production run (!) but I was thinking of either a Bulldog or the One-77?

Re: The Car Challenge
It might be owned by one or two “Fast Ladies” but it was not made for a specific customer group except and a passion for speed and style. (and of course lots of cash)Siani wrote:Is it one for a girls Aston Martin?![]()
Could it be for an AM club?

The car was not specifically made for the US marketmigrant wrote:Made for the American market?
And now we are getting close. Of course, you are right that most Aston’s are part of a limited production. The “concept” of this car and its original incarnation was for endurance racing. It is based on the awesome V12 Vantage and derived from a shortened DBS platform.J.J.B. wrote:Are you referring to the original DBS or the later, V12 model based on the DB9? The car you are searching for was launched at the same time as the final One-77 was announced as being sold.
This might help

Isn't that a Zagotta or something like that? I forget the exact name but it has a similar look to some of those front engined Ferrari's made now.

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is a bespoke styling exercise based on the 12 Vantage and derived from a shortened DBS platform. It is being built to mark the 50 years since the launch of the DB4GT Zagato. The build will be strictly limited to 150 cars.
It was launched at the Geneva motor show in 2012 and delivery commenced in the second half of 2012. Aston Martin created four unique colours for the V12 Zagato: Scintilla Silver, Alloro Green, Alba Blue and Diavolo Red
The famous Aston Martin "wing" badge also got a unique twist; the normal green background was made available as an option in red.
During my Christmas break in the UK I had the unexpected opportunity to visit the Aston Martin factory and unplanned tour. I was given the badge as a momento by one of the staff and told that it is very rare.

I could get 10 Accords for that - even at their inflated price here.Bristolian wrote:£330,000 and pocket change to be exactDannie Boy wrote:It'll cost you a bit more than the Honda Terry!!Terry wrote:I want one.......................

This is an Enfield 8000, a 2-seater battery-electric city car, introduced in 1973 and originally built on the Isle of Wight by Enfield Automotive.Siani wrote:Yes I want the last car too![]()
