Today's result:

Rajpracha-Bangkok Thonburi F.C. 1 - 1 Hua Hin City F.C.

Losing 2 points today saw them drop 2 places to 7th.

Next week, there's a lot of entertainment planned, and a carnival atmosphere is guaranteed when Hua Hin take on Phetburi F.C. at Fort Thanarat - September 1, 2013 @ 4:00 pm
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Bumping this one:

Hua Hin take on Phetburi F.C. at Fort Thanarat - Today September 1, 2013 @ 4:00 pm

I had been reading on the Internet that a lot of entertainment was planned for today's match, but the Internet has gone quiet on this. The usual carnival atmosphere, with Hua Hin City is entertainment enough anyway. Anything else will be a bonus :D

Big Boy, with your posts you've made me a fan of HHCFC :D and I'm anxiously waiting for the match reports. Do you think, it would be possible to take a short video (with your mobile) of the athmosphere. Some cuts from the matches are available on facebook as you have linked before but I'd like to share some of the carneval. Ta.

Hi. I've just returned from a great holiday in Hua Hin and whilst there saw a few City FC shirts and tried to source one to buy for myself but to no avail. I'm a Man City fan and obviously liked the colours and the fact a Thai team has chosen to be a 'City' rather than a 'United'. Having read this thread I see there is a shop which sells the shirts (I was told the sports shop in Market Village would have em but they only had scarves and hats) and wondered if any residents would help me to get hold of one and post to UK? Any advice/ideas on how to do this gratefully received. Cheers in advance.

It's fate then: Hua Hin are my Thai team!

Well, my son has decided last night's X-Factor is more interesting than Spuds vs Arse, so I have time to write now.

Things seemed different there today. We had to pay in a different place, no mascot, no dolly birds at raffle time, the crowd seemed to be subdued etc.

Phetburi were, in my opinion, the best side I've seen Hua Hin play. During the first have they totally neutralised the Hua Hin danger duo of Duru and Anucha. However it was a game full of incident, with theatrical diving by Phetburi, dirty fouls on both sides, a little bit of handbags at 6 feet, numerous bookings, a whistle happy ref, a couple of sendings off and the referee getting bottles thrown at him.

The first half ended 0 - 0 with neither side really looking like scoring.

The second half started with a lot more passion, and Duru and Anucha started to find their feet. They were ably supported by No 14 (don't remember his name) on the wing. Within a couple of minutes of the restart, Hua Hin were 1 - 0 up. A fine header from a corner.

Not long after the goal, a Phetburi player threw his toys out of the pram and got himself sent off.

Hua Hin then put the pressure on looking to make things safe. Both Dura and Anucha missed a brace of sitters each.

Then a Hua Hin player got sent off, and it was Phetburi's turn to put the presure on. Hua Hin were on the back foot, and picked up more bookings for time wasting. As the 4th official signalled 4 added minutes, the unthinkable happened. Phetburi scored an excellent goal, with the scorer producing some real magic inside the 6 yard box.

At the end of the match, the referee and his escort of military police was bombarded with bottles (plastic) as he left the pitch.

The promised 'extra' entertainment didn't materialise, but there was a half-time T-Shirt givaway (our party got 2 :D ) and everybody got a portion of pork and sticky rice. A very nice gesture for the admission price of 50 Baht.

A great afternoon's entertainment.

I've tried to capture the carnival atmospere, but don't know how the capture on my mobile has turned out. I'm still downloading and uploading to YouTube. I will link to a couple of the videos tomorrow.

The bottles were only plastic this time. Since the last incident I think glass bottles aren't welcome. Beer is from cans these days.

You'll have to wait for next season's kit if you want to buy a shirt. I think they're generally sold out everywhere (although I saw one hung up at the supporters shop this afternoon.
