[quote="dtaai-maai"]Some good stuff happening at the Lane just now. We've got Paulinho and now Nacir Chadli.

Soldado would be the icing on the cake, but let's wait and see.
I'm starting to feel really good about the coming season.
Oh dear.

Where`s Baa Baa when you need him, we want the inside news on any move by Suarez to Arsenal. Does he speak English by the way?

Loved Rodgers claim that Liverpool are a bigger club than Arsenal. So that's why Suarez wants away then?

He also is reported as saying that Liverpool are going in the right direction, do their recent premiership positions confirm this?

The Hammers have seen off Cork City , Boreham Wood and Colchester in pre season games , reckon we might be looking for a top 16 finish, Wahoo !

Is that from the Telegraph? They seem to be carrying lots of 'word is' type stories at the moment, especially re: Bale.

Yes, but the 'word is' Bale stories are talking about 100 million Euros. That would sweeten the pill...

The problem is the papers don`t know much so they quote each other`s rumours and that is then taken as a fact by some readers. You just have to ignore the "swoop and snub" stories and wait for the club`s official websites for the truth.

Caulker of Spurs to Cardiff. No-one saw that one coming. Mixed views from Spuds fans.

I suppose something had to give...
Feb 14, 2013 - Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed one of the club's five centre-backs will be sold at the end of the season.
Kaboul was out injured most of last season, but before that he he was a real dynamo. Vertonghen was one of the best players in the Premiership, and in spite of the bizarre flirtation with QPR at the beginning of last season, Dawson is something of an institution.
That's 3 top-class centre backs, with Gallas there in case of emergency and for League Cup games...

The problem with Caulker is that he's good enough to be playing every game, and that wasn't going to happen at Spurs for a year or two. Shame.

Groundhog Day? Well, we have Soldado now too, and I don't remember the last time we started a season with 3 new signings of this quality. We already have the icing on the cake, and at 80 million quid, we win whether Bale stays or leaves.

Good luck with Suarez, by the way...

A very fine player and totally mis-understood by the British media
(in the absence of Baa Baa someone has to say it)
