TRANSFER OF CAR OWNERSHIP

Hi All

I will be buying a car which is currently registered in Pattaya and then registering it at Pranburi.

The current owner will provide me with their Passport Copy, Blue Book for the car, Insurance and bill of sale.

As for myself I have my Thai driving license, Passport copy, proof of residence.

Are there any other documents required for the transfer into my name as the current owner will not be with me?

Is there a specific form that I need when the present owner is not present for the transfer of ownership?

I just did some research on the Net.

1. I need the Power of Attorney and Transfer of Ownership forms giving me authority to take ownership of the car,
Blue Book and a signed copy of the owner's passport and visa page. These can be downloaded from the net.

2. As the car is registered in Pattaya it looks like I may have to change ownership there BUT I can not get a firm answer on this yet? Awaiting confirmation unless anyone knows otherwise?

3. You can not transfer ownership of a car on a Tourist visa must be Non - Immigrant. Again no firm answer?

Any feedback appreciated
