Nephew brought around a decent copy of The Dark Knight Rises - I say decent in that viewing quality was good... film itself - BIG disappointment!

Looper - have downloaded, but it was a CAM version, so didn't watch..... saved an hour or two according to BB's review!!

Enjoyed an excellent watch today...

Chronicle

Now I'm always a little skeptical of movies done 'Blair Witch' Style as I don't particularly like the shaky VHS quality style the genre has been crapping out in recent years, however...

... I thought this was superb!

A nice, crisp, non shaky picture with some excellent effects. Three boys discover a hole in the ground and, boys being boys, decide to explore. Well they come out with a little extra something each - Telekinetic powers.
At first they use them as you'd expect teenage boys to use them... pulling pranks on the less fortunate, but as time goes by and their powers are growing some more sinister uses come into play.

Good copy here if ya interested. http://yify-torrents.com/movie/Chronicle_2012_1080p

Also the excellent site that I use is in the process of some crystal clear copies of the new Spiderman... next hour or so (900 meg copies there already http://yify-torrents.com/movie/The_Amaz ... erMan_2012). The whole 'Saw' set too in the coming days. Good 'Ol Torture Porn. :D

Frikin' love this site...heads and tails above the rest for me. The guys there sure know what they're doing when it comes to knocking out sweet copies at under 2 gig. All this 'encoding' malarkey... double dutch to me. I watched a 22 gig copy of Prometheus... compared it to their 2 gig and the difference was minimal.

or f you look carefully, and use the right search strings, you find links on YouTube for recent releases

YT vids at 360P are normal DVDRIP 700mb Axxo quality, the 480P copies are hi rez....and some posted go all the way up to ultra HD 1080P

Anyways, by deploying the sneaky string

"Full Film", long

or

"Full Movie", long

and ranking the results by date of posting you get

- the new Spiderman flick

go down the list and you can also find BRANDED, the latest Blade Runner style mind bender, or COCKNEYS VS ZOMBIES.....which is Lock Stock meets Day Of The Dead.

All three on the review list

get at em quick tho..... they do get taken down fairly quickly.

You can run that same sort of search using "East Enders", long or any other name of a programme.... try BBC, long for example.

I just run a search every couple of days and snap up what I want using a YouTube downloader like DownloadHelper (for firefox)

Cheers SM. I don't try Youtube for movies much as the picture quality is hit and miss. I've turned into a bit of a snob as such when it comes to movie viewing... slight imperfections in picture or audio are gonna see the thing turned off to be watched at a later date with a better copy. Never used to be like this... gotta be the new 42inch in the room! :D

My downloads are finished for both Spidey and (coincidentally at the same time) Cockney's VS Zombies so will go with those for now but will keep a lookout in the future. I understand they get taken down pretty quickly.

Watched a great film today SM and I'm sure you've seen it and reviewed here. One of the best I've watched this year....

'The Boat That Rocked' aka 'Pirate Radio'

A 2009 film that I missed about a pirate radio station in the 60's. Set on a boat in the middle of the ocean the government is pulling its hair out trying to topple this thing. Starring 'Phillip Seymour Hoffman' (One of the best actors in my book) and a handful of other stars this movie is a treat.

Quick download here if interested (only 450 megs)...took 12 minutes for me. (or maybe on youtube)...http://yify-torrents.com/movie/Pirate_Radio_2009

SM just looked at that Spidey on you tube and, though it looks alright on the laptop, blown up onto the TV it looks like something from the early 90's regarding picture quality.

Cheers anyhow. I suppose it depends what you are watching the movies on. YiFY's 1080p (not quite) download http://yify-torrents.com/movie/The_Amaz ... 2012_1080p would take that You tube copy to use as tissue paper.

Edit: Just to warn though Spidey trickled down really slowly on this site (One of the slowest downloads I've had... downloaded 40 other 720p movies before Spidey was finished :? ). Gonna take a day but well worth it.

Really enjoyed Chronicle myself GLC.

If you've never seen Akira get on it.

New Spidey is a perfect popcorn movie for me.

Also the new Bond, Skyfall is getting rave reviews everywhere, talk of the best Bond ever, Casino Royale was brilliant so I'm hoping for good things.

Plus James Bond: 007 is a red. 8)

Pharvey mate... when downloading I live by this site now. There is no hit and miss. Every copy 720p or 1080p is what it is. They don't have all and sundry uploading stuff. Just a few of their 'team'. I stumbled across it when pirate bay went down. After suggesting the site to colleagues they too, don't use any other site now. It's awesome. Can't recommend it enough.

I remember watching some Manga animation whilst high as a kite in my teens. Bloody awesome it was too! Not sure if we are thinking of the same Akira. Will google it...

That's the one GLC, Chronicle is based around it.

Luckily a live action Hollywood remake based in America seems to have gone down the pan. Fingers crossed.

Try "Ninja Scrolls" too if you don't mind a fucked up Manga. That one is disturbing.

I've got it on double DVD. 8)
