Re: Premier League 2011-2012
Liverpool report a loss of almost £50m for the last financial year as a result of failed new stadium costs and pay-offs to former manager Roy Hodgson and other staff.
Diplomacy is the ability to tell a man to go to hell so that he looks forward to making the trip
Re: Premier League 2011-2012
I've read enough about Liverpool accounts to last me a lifetime when the previous owners were driving the club into the ground, I'll give this one a miss as it's hardly been a normal year with the takeover etc.
It should look a bit better next year when the Warrior shirt deal kicks in, plus alot of the high earning little contribution players have gone or are going.
A big massive meh from me.

Re: Premier League 2011-2012
I had to have a look, apparently the plans for the stadium by the previous regime were listed as an asset in 08 and 09, around 45 million total. As them particular plans have now been scrapped by the new owners they are classed as costs.
Am I reading it correctly in thinking that an asset of 45 million, already payed for, has just been written off? So in fact, there's no actual loss?

It's comedy.
I was talking to another poster about why I would give Dalglish another year, I wasn't moaning about bad luck.
I know you're not the most intelligent so I'll let it go.

I admit to having done my share of Baa Baa baiting in the past but I never resorted to personal abuse, I think you have gone over the top.

Just replying in the same style as him Arcadian. I didn't swear and i didn't lie. Blunt maybe, but honest and not abusive!!

Re: Premier League 2011-2012
But spectacularly missed my point, I wasn't making excuses for a poor league position, I was saying why I personally would stick with the Manager. Football discussion is about opinions, at least I offer mine.
Re: Premier League 2011-2012
Well last nights result did us no favours, but all credit to Newcastle and Pardew, who has done exceptionally well. Maybe we should go and buy Cisse? Spurs must be favourites now with Newcastles last 2 games being toughies - could they upset City?
I think it was a game too far for Chelseas squad a few days before the FA cup final and it was a very jaded performance. The FA's scheduling has done us no favours.
Hey, only 4 more games, but I'm worried the momentum has gone? We should learn more about RDM now and if I was him I would tell Luiz and Cahill to forget about the FA cup, there turn will come in Munich.

Talk is cheap

Yeah Caller, a bit of a dilemma but not a bad position to be in hey?
Can't see the momentum being gone, an FA Cup final against Liverpool and the biggest prize of all with automatic qualification for next season should be a bit of an incentive and as we know, form goes out of the window in these sort of games.
I haven't seen any odds, I'm guessing Chelsea are slight favourites for Saturday and Bayern favourites for Europe?
I think teams should be trying to sign Newcastles head scout, nevermind Cisse.
Bizarrely their head scout is comedian Alan Carrs dad.

It's understandable from Bubbly, Geordies have got an irrational hatrid of Dalglish and Liverpool anyway, odd considering we don't even acknowledge their existence until the 2 times a year we have to play them.
