Hotels At Swampy

Post by kendo »

Can anyone recommend a good hotel within 15, minutes of the airport that doe's not cost a fortune budget around 2000 baht.

Thai airways have changed our flight times and resheduled the flight two hours early.

Just a bit of forward planning as we are traveling with an infant and i like to be organised.

Always stay at the Great Residence Hotel on our way out as it's a fairly early flight. Absolutely superb value for money IMO at under 1,000 per night including 1 way transfer to or from the airport which is only 5 mins or so away.

Clean en-suite rooms, restaurant/bar, free Wi-Fi, swimming pool - you simply can't beat it. Also a few local bars and restaurants and 7-11 a few minutes walk away.

PH that looks like a hell of a deal, just ahd a gander at their website, when we were in HH last month we stayed at the airport Novotel on the way out, which was nice, but at about 5x the price of the Great Residence not that nice, so we will definitely be giving this a try next time around.

We have stayed at Miracle Hotel Suvarnabhumi when we had an early departure to Bali for a family holiday.
I was impressed with the standard of the room, Thai eateries just a 3 minute walk and also a 7/11 which was handy.
We also had an infant & 12yr old with us, at the time they had free transit to the Airport which i am sure they still would.
No complaints would stay there again

In my traveling days (which ended when I retired a year ago), I stayed at Silver Gold Garden hotel about a dozen times. I would book online via sawadee.com and usually paid between B700 and B800 per night. They have free shuttle service to/from the airport, which was the deal maker for me. It's less than 10 minutes from airport, but nowhere near runways/approach patterns, so is quiet. Very clean, and pleasant staff, as well. There is a Lotus Express store out front, and complimentary water in the room.
