Strange as it may seem, I think there are pluses from that game for Chelsea. A good few of the older/established players were missing and the team in many respects was unrecognisable. Boswinga isn't at the standard required, wherever he plays and why AVB took Sturridge off is beyond me and Torres has to bloody score.

But the rebuilding is in place and I think we largely have to write this season off.

I think we are lucky that the standard of the premiership is poor this season, compared to the last few years, evidenced by a poor Chelsea and Arsenal being our last reps in the Champions league. At the same time, Spurs and Liverpool are re-emerging, so its certainly a challenge to the status quo of the last few years, which is probably a good thing.
