Re: Premier League 2011-2012
I once had a Spurs fan as a client, he was actually a recipient of a Queens Award to Industry, so not a knuckle dragger. When Spurs played Man U he thought it hugely entertaining that Spurs fans would make airplane noises with arms as wings and the Man U fans would hiss to simulate Nazi gas ovens. Oh what fun they had.dtaai-maai wrote:Isn't it pretty obvious that the average, regularly attending, frantically spending football fan of most clubs is thick as a brick, racist, unduly aggressive, ridiculously tribal and not unduly endowed with the milk of human kindness?
That doesn't apply on here, of course, because none of us is average anything.![]()

Support Spurs, the understanding club that welcomes you regardless of your race, creed, colour or IQ.
Spurs are the team for you. We love our club, we love each other, we love you all.
We love anything that breathes.
And then some.
Support Spurs.
You know it makes sense already.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has signed a new long-term contract with the club which will effectively see him end his career at Anfield

Big thumbs up to SG for coming through the ranks at the 'pool and showing loyalty to the club...a rare occurrence these days

He's a club legend and one of the best players I've ever seen.sateeb wrote:Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has signed a new long-term contract with the club which will effectively see him end his career at Anfield

Dragged us through the shit so many times its untrue.
Arguably up there with Dalglish as our best ever player.

Scandalfield?sateeb wrote:Why wouldn't I know about that....are you any different to me or do you fly home every 2 weeks and watch your team at Scandalfield.
I abhor any football chants that deal with football tragedies such as Heysel,Hillsborough AND Munich '58....The Liverpool fan that had Munich '58 tattoed on his forehead would attest to that when I met him whilst policing Manure V 'pooooooool in the '80's.
Time to get off that high horse mate before you fall off it...ok lahhhh.
I wouldn't need to fly home as I'm based in England, 30 minutes from Anfield in fact.
Laaaa doesn't exist anymore either, Liverpool isn't full of shellsuits, it's one of the best city's in England.

^^ Didn't he make a U-turn on Joining Chelsea 6 or 7 years ago after he and his family received death threats?

There's all sorts of mafia type rumours surrounding Gerrard, most of it made up by Everton supporting Taxi drivers.
The fact is he didn't leave, who wouldn't have been tempted by Romans billions.

I know I am going to regret this but I would rather see Spurs win the title over the two Manx clubs. `Arry has done a good job but even I could probably manage City with all their cash and Man U are just about getting away with playing crap football. There, I`ve said it.

I'm leaning that way but would be delighted if they finished higher than Arsenal and Chelski at leastArcadian wrote:I know I am going to regret this but I would rather see Spurs win the title over the two Manx clubs. `Arry has done a good job but even I could probably manage City with all their cash and Man U are just about getting away with playing crap football. I wouldn`t go that far Richard.

Don`t get carried away DM, I only said I would prefer Spurs to win other than the Manx clubs. I still remember hauling back a 14 point deficit over Man U some time back, it could happen again, and you are still due your poor spell, not every team can be invincible.

Good side Spurs, I feel they will finish 3rd, 4th is between the rest of us.

Re: Premier League 2011-2012
Up until now it's been a pretty unpredictable season.
It's pretty certain though that the top 4 will come from the current top 6
Genuine title contenders are currently the top 3 but things can quickly change in football.
Injuries to key players, bad refereeing decisions, bad luck, loss of form & just the pressures of being contenders.
Maybe in 2 months time we'll see who the genuine ones are

And in Spurs case, 'Arry will be otherwise engaged in February!
