Premier League 2011-2012
Re: Premier League 2011-2012
I'm on it but apparently Evra said to the ref "you're only booking me because I'm black"
The guys an embarrassment.
And Suarez will definitely play this weekend, if Liverpool don't appeal to the FA it will go to court, the Uruguayan embassy are even involved.
Massive can of worms that the old men at the FA can't find a way out of imho.

Yet Suárez must prove he was unaware of the sensitivity towards the word “negro” in England. The former Ajax player will also have to explain why, having lived for three years in Holland, he had still to grasp northern European intolerance to such a word.
How about the paddy's?

Re: Premier League 2011-2012
Is that what its about - the use of the word 'negro'?
According to wicki:
The word Negro is used in the English-speaking world to refer to a person of black ancestry or appearance, whether of African descent or not. The word negro means 'black' in Spanish and Portuguese, from the Latin niger, 'black', probably from a Proto-Indo-European root *nekw-, 'to be dark', akin to *nokw- 'night'.[1][2]
I thought a more common insult on the footy park was, well, any other expletive you can think of really! Presumably no-one now objects to being called a, 'f*****g two-faced cheating c**t'! I had that thrown at me once or twice.

Absolutely disgraceful performance from Chelsea today. Congrats to Wigan and all that, but they didn't have to do anything apart from turn-up!
Whats the point of beating City and then performing like that? I'm no fan of our manager, but this was about the players just not doing their job.
Farce.

Couldn't agree more.
I haven't seen much of Chelsea yet this season, and I was surprised how ordinary they were. They managed to make Wigan look a decent side, and that takes some doing.
Sturridge is class and looked it, but that's the end of the list.
And the Golden Boy AVB makes some surpising decisions. Sturridge and Mata substituted when Chelsea were just 1-0 up? Surprising, to say the least.
Chelsea couldn't have complained if Wigan had snuck a late winner.
Hope they keep this form for Thursday. Though maybe they should play Torres?
Excellent result!

Hopefully you'll bounce back & win on thurs, a draw would be even better
