Exactly JW, that's what I was referring to regarding it being the 'families' favourite restaurant and the variety. The missus is a typical Thai and stuck in her ways and so likes a good portion of prik of a night time, the boy has a fancy for spag bol and if I fancy some Mexican then it's the ideal place. If I'm on me own mooching round the market or nearby then as Richard mentions Margaritas is perfect. And no, they shouldn't be compared, as two very different restaurants/styles.

JW wrote:Have to agree that Terrace 90 is doing great food, ate there last week and food was just great, excellent quality and very generous portions.
T90 doesnt compete with Margaritos in my opinion - the 2 style are very different and both really enjoyable. Its somewhere I am aways happy to go and too be honest dont go often enough!
:thumb:
We went to both T90 and Margaritos last week and as JW points out both have different styles but T90 is far more general and family appeal and we thought Margaritos had dropped in standards and is oddly placed with it's 3 tables outside squeezed between the stalls

I've been to both with a Californian friend and their cuisine is different. T90 is mild Tex-Mex while Margaritas is authentic Mexican food

Margaritas portions are larger and so designed to be shared

Both good but I'm a Mex fan not a Tex-Mex fan

Parking: We have just cleared a land across from the Restaurant for your parking. We know our small lot got a little tight on Buffet Nights and when we host parties on our upstairs Terrace.

Speaking of parties we can host parties up to 100 on the upstairs Terrace. Order off the menu or we do a Buffet to fit the occasion. Cheaper then you may think for large groups. We just did a Wedding and a Birthday. On most Fridays they are we host the Scandinavian Golf Society.

Holiday Time is coming so book early. We have a Music smstem (Amp/speakers) in place and we can book entertainment.

Well I'm sorry Mr Cantina but your establishment is going down hill.

I've eaten there 5 times and to be honest the food is good but last night was not a good experience.

I had friends over from the UK who were staying at the Sofitel for 9 days and during that stay we ate out at many quality restaurants. As it was their last night I thought I'd treat them to dinner (Thanksgiving) and foot the bill.

Arrived and sat downstairs and had a carafe of Margaritas. Very good. Met a friend who had dined upstairs where the turkey et al was being served. He said 'don't bother, food crap and cold and no atmosphere at all'. Not to worry I thought we will eat downstairs and sample the evening fare.

Food good except my friend had a cordon bluer chicken where the chicken was raw. It was of course my fault when I sent it back (TIT). My steak was stringy and tough but tasty. Still the prawn cocktails and the ice cream were great.

Points to note which may be of interest to the managers who ever you may be (one is an x-Cantina guy)

1) Get some staff who know how to smile and are attentive. Every time I needed something I had to walk up to the desk and ask

2) Get a supervisor who roams and watches customers and asks if all is OK

3) If a manager/owner is present (there was at least one who appeared late in the day) take an interest in your customers instead of sitting with a mate and reading a book

4) If you have a chef (not the microwave) have him/her come out and meet the customers

I was embarrassed as I'd recommended your place to my friends and they had dined me out in the Sofitel, Co-Co's, Margaritas, Lotus, Bam bam's, KO's in the night market, the Bistro etc

My guess (and rumours abound that echo my thinking), you will not be in business for 2012 high season unless you shape up. You have a great place in a great location. You need to sort your management, QC and staff out

Oh, Your pricing is way too high as well

What a wonderful meal we had.
Thank you so very much.

Great food, plenty and very attentive polite service.
You could not have done more for us.

Price much better value than that expensive bar/food place near the pier.

Well done T90.
We will come again and again.
