I haven't seen too much England football but what happened to Beckman's name up there? The Thai's love him, I think because he visits here often. I think here in Asia, he is the most well known English player, Mid-field center, right? Regardless, my choice above would be Rooney if he's fit. Being a Yank though, I won't vote. :wink: Pete

Probably home advantage - nothing to do with being the best team. Unlike the English team in 1966 - the best by far.

Pete,

I believe the choices were made from the most likley top scorers. Crouch and Gerrard have scored already giving them an obvious advantage. There is a limit of six options and Big Boy has made exactly the selection that I would have made. I would probably put John Terry and Sean Wright-Phillips before Beckham. He is is not really a prolific goalscorer and seems to have gone off form a little.
