Yep, had seen you'd flagged the Pilot, that's what put me onto it in the first place. Just wondered if you'd continued watching. I'm just one of these pedantic buggers who likes to download the full season rather than an episode at a time...... that way when I have a ''cabbage attack'' on a day off, I can watch 3 months worth at a time!!

Looking forward to the Walking Dead 2, but again... being a sad tw@t will have to wait to download the full season

Another one that's hit the radar as you would say, is ''Suits'' - looks worth a watch.

Season 1 just concluded, watched all of it. It's OK. Starting to get tired of plot lines that hinge on a character doing something stupid, especially because all but 2 of the major characters possess top of the heap brain power. It happened more as the season progressed.

A lot of the tip offs I get care of ads on True, so by the time they appear the series has usually run its course and I can drop the lot...like you PH I like to have a veg out and watch all the episodes in one or two sessions. I do the same with epic film series like ALIENS, PIRATES and LOTR sometimes. The two series Ive watched again and again are the two Spartacus series and the two ROME series. I like ancient hstory dramas.....have since I CLAUDIUS, which although filmed on crappy BBC cardboard sets was classic stuff.

Considering Im an old D&D playng fantasy / sci-fi fan I never thought Xena and Hercules were worth a spit. Utter cack IMHO. I liked the cheezy old Buck Rodgers and Battlestar series...hated the new ones. SANCTUARY was quite good, as was WAREHOUSE 13....they both go off n later series tho. Some of the new Dr Who are good too. Babylon 5 was good early on, then went all Star Treck po faced in later series.

I loved Raffles and Sherlock Holmes on ITV. And Sharpe.....utter classic stuff. Scarlet Pimpernel was a laugh.

Im looking forward to the second series of Game of Thrones, Borgias and Camelot as well....but they are scheduled for next year. Booooo! They have started work on all of them, and seres 2 of Falling Skies. Maybe we will see series 2 of Boardwalk Empire as well sometime in 2012.

As for Spartacus....well it looks lke its going ahead wth a new actor in the lead....they are looking for a replacement. Given only Spartacus, Onameus and Crixus were due to be carried over, with some of the smaller parts, that shouldnt mess it up too much.

Id keep an eye out on True for THE KENNEDYS....looks good. Bet they skrt over where old Pop K got all that money from tho.....bootleggng in the Prohibition years with a real life character from Boardwalk Empire.

VeeHD.com is excellent for series.

The series covers all the dark side of the Kennedys, Pop's bootlegging included. Because of that, US TV critics associated with leftist news sources said the series was unwatchable crap. I saw the first hour but passed on the rest because it was too much of a soap opera/chick flick. Oh, and it wasn't crap. Mediocre yes, crap no.

Just watched series 1 of Downton Abbey. Itv victorian costume drama in the style of the old BBC.
Season 2 starts in the Uk tonight.
The last series attracted 11 million viewers on each Sunday night it was shown.
worth a download IMO.

Pretty slow... not for action fans... I gave up on it after the first episode.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Your loss IMO hhf, but as you say, certainly NOT for ''action'' fans. Certainly going to be geared to us more gentile, calmer, sensible Brits.... :D :neener:
