I hear the referee attended the Alex Ferguson school of timekeeping.

Should probably have started with Song instead of Diaby, but that's about it really.caller wrote:RZR and other Gooners - any views on Wengers team selection today?
No Sagna so Eboue had to start

Maybe we could have brought on corporal Jones after RVP scored the penalty, the cries of 'don't panic! don't panic! ' might have helped a bit

To be fair, we came up against a determined & pretty resolute scouse team today.
Our final ball wasn't there but that's credit to L'pool defending well.
Like your boys, no real plan b

In the melee that led to the free kick/penalty, we were like a bunch of headless chickens & as for Eboue's challenge, words fail me

My biggest gripe with Wenger is that he is slow to make changes when things aren't going to plan.
Arshavin should have been on earlier & if you're gonna bring on a 6ft 4in centre forward (Bendtner), don't stick him on the right wing FFS!!!

This is how tabloid hacks should all be treated.

Oh dear, we do appear to have gone above Arsenal!
And guess whose going to be complaining about another penalty decision?

Also loved the WHL game last night. Regardless of who you support, what a game of football! (Unless, of course, you happen to be Arsene Wenger).
This is the way

A fantastic game of football, just how it should be played. Both sides went for it unlike many matches where the cloggers just come to defend and stop real football being played. Don`t gloat yet Caller, still a little way to go.

Without making excuses, we have had our number one defender missing practically all season & a couple of dodgy keepers to contend withBaaBaa. wrote:^

We will be signing one or two in the summer, i have no doubt about that.
Amazingly only chelsk & the 2 manx's have better defensive stats & not by that great a margin either

Great game though, a credit to both sides

Who's that then?redzonerocker wrote:Without making excuses, we have had our number one defender missing practically all season

And one player does not make a defence! Arsene's blind spot, without a doubt.

It would be Jack Wilshere if he wasn't having a duel to the death with Gareth Bale over who is bestest!

I agree, one man doesn't make a defence, but the verminator would certainly have made a big difference

Yes, Wenger has had a bit of a blind spot in that department, it was glaringly obvious in January we would struggle, one decent CB may have made all the difference.
Koscielny has done well for his first season but Squillaci was a bad buy

Liverpool have secured the biggest kit deal in English football history, the £25 million-a-year contract with Boston-based Warrior Sports more than doubling the Anfield club’s present agreement with adidas.
The Times understands that Warrior, a subsidiary of New Balance, will take over production of Liverpool kits in time for the 2012-13 season. Adidas, which launched a new away kit last week as part of its £12 million-a-year contract with the club, had the chance to match the offer but was not prepared to meet the American company’s price.
The link between Liverpool and Warrior is believed to be a long-term relationship and outstrips the £23.3 million per year that Nike pays Manchester United, the previous British record.
