Stevie can hardly come out and say what a steaming pile of durge Hodgson was serving up though can he? I can though.E-Dork wrote: I think Stevie Gerrard even admitted that 'they' the players had let him down during his spell.
Besides, the media made that sound a lot kinder than it was. Gerrard was on a show, he got asked a question, he said what he had to say, it's not as though he came out and backed Hodgson, he was put on the spot.
In comparison I'd say that's about right. Hodgson managed to lose at Anfield to Northampton, Blackpool and Wolves, Benitez won at The Bernabeau, The Nou Camp and The San Siro.E-Dork wrote:They get really upset about it all and view Benitez as some superman from Planet Majestic and Hodgson as some muppet from Jim Henson shows.
That's before you start comparing win percentages and trophys won throughout their respective careers, poor old Roy isn't in Benitez stratosphere.
Avram Grant has got a better CV than Hodgson, he's won nothing mind but he's been a close loser a lot more times.
