Newbie saying hello

Just popping in to introduce myself.

I'm Rachel, a Brit in Cha-Am.
Hubby and I are planning to stay for a few months.
Loving it so far; have found a place to watch the footie, do our washing, buy weetabix and so on. We bought a couple of pushbikes so are whizzing around discovering stuff on a daily basis.

We've been going to the Weds Night Market in Cha-Am town for a few weeks, great for people watching and a cheap tea.

erm...... probably heading off to Koh Tao to do some diving at the end of the month, visa run to Penang next week and back to Blighty in Feb.

So, hello (again) and thanks for reading!!

Hi Rachel, what kind of visa do you have? LOMU, maybe best to give her some pointers based upon what we've read on here the past few days about tourist visa renewals. Pete :cheers:

Hi Rachael and hubby, welcome to the forum.

Cha Am is a great place to spend some time and easy to cycle around.

Watch out for the pot holes and the other maniac drivers and you will survive to old age.

I look forward to reading about your exploits if you post them on the forum. Pics are good as well.

Enjoy your stay and try to get to HH from time to time, to see what it has to offer.

Yes, we are aware of their being some visa difficulties with the back to back Tourist visas. I got in contact with the people in Penang that are taking care of it for us and they seem to think that we will be OK. :?
We have only had one 60 day so far, this will be our second.

I'll let you know what happens.

And I think I know every pothole in town by now cos I have been down most of them! :shock:

I'll get some photos up next week when I get back!

Penang have been refusing tourist visas to those who have two or three already for some time now - before the latest edict.
I would think that the OP will be OK as she's only had one so far and she's contacted an agent down there who's going to be in the know on a day-to-day basis.
