Some suggestions please
Hi all
My lads (14yo & 16yo) will be arriving down in HH with me for just about two weeks and although not their first trip, i'm lost for things to do with them.
Did notice there were some sort of surfboarding with kite activities, but not sure what else i could do to cater for them. Took them golfing last time, but they don't play much and at 2,000baht a round not good vfm for them.
Any suggestions as to what i can get up to with them would be greatly appreciated (i.e. they are too young for the bar scene, and my thai mrs wouldn't be letting me go down there alone anyway).
Cheers
Steve

Try Terrys fishing place, my friends sons (same age as yours) have thoroughly enjoyed a day or two there.

Or Go Karting

Or boat fishing trips

Plenty for the kids to do in Hua Hin.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
There's a paintball place in town, with a separate adventure park (don't know what it consists of sorry) next door to it. There's an ATV place around town too, may even be in that adventure park!?
Fishing day at one of the parks, there's one in Cha Am but the sponsored one on HHAD in Hua Hin run by Terry is a great place and local. Been on several sea fishing trips and been a waste of time unless the boat travels out 3 hours o so first to a decent spot, nearby sea is just too over-fished.

Elephant village half hour ride good fun, but a bit expensive and the baht bus driver will fleece you for waiting (sleeping) in our case.
Koh Takiab monkey mountain is worth a look and from there, is some steps down to the beach we walked back to HH this for sure will ware those teenagers out.
The bowling at Market Village is half length lanes and in my opinion a rip off, we had 4 adults 2 children we played two games had a couple of drinks and some fried pork thingys the bill came to 2600 baht, we where only in there for an hour and a half.
I too will be in town end of october with my 14 year old stepson and the number one thing for us to do is go to Terrys Hua hin fishing lodge i have never met a Thai kid that dont like to go fishing and your mrs can sit watch and eat somtam to her hearts content, you can spend the whole day there and far better value for money than the elephant village or bowling.
One question i have is there regular mini vans that run to Palu waterfall and how far is that from HH, my mrs thinks it 50km's but i think its a bit further away any idea's please.
Kendo.

If you are driving when you are over I would say it would be well worth while taking them to the Cable ski in Ratchaburi Lake Point. Its only an hour and half drive and 350B per person for the day.
They have skis, wakeskates somthing in the way of wakeboards and some other things to get dragged around the water on. Descent place to chill out to with food and drinks.
You would be suprised how expensive it is to try them out on the kiteboards in HH. I think it was around 3000-4000 per person for a day lesson and its really a 3 day course. Ouch!

I took my boy who was 14 at the time to the shooting range north of the town next to the plane. It is very professionally run and my lad enjoyed it.
It is not cheap actually can work out very expensive if he wants to use large calibre guns.
May not be you boys thing but it was mine, thats the only place he has requested to go back again on his next visit.

I would not mind having a look at that whats the name of the place and where exactly is it, that would be good fun as you cant do that easily back here, done it once before in Australia at the Lone Ranger Shooting Gallery hired a 44 Magnum great experiance.Rob W wrote:I took my boy who was 14 at the time to the shooting range north of the town next to the plane.
