Band of Ayudhya were just a bit behind. I withdrew money again a couple of days ago and in the midst of all the usual screens there appeared a screen to verify the transaction withdrawal amount and fee asking if I still wanted to go through with the transaction. This time the fee said 0.00 but I expect that to change very soon! :cuss:

Withdrew also 2 days ago and saw that screen but was pleased to see the 0.00 amount, as you say when...... :(

The fact that they added that screen and confirmation means that there will certainly be a fee imposed soon....

hmmm... I suppose you're true!

Well, that's TH...we all know about their double price system for locals and foreigners in many other ways...so why not ATM-fees, too?

Is Bank of Ayudhya charging the ATM fee yet? I ask as I recalled that they are heavily tied to GE per the below excerpts, and perhaps that will prevent them in some way from initiating the fee. Just a shot in the dark. Pete

Kasikorn is now charging 150 Baht. So instead of using my foreign bank card, I will transfer a bigger amount to Kasikorn bank and then use the Kasikorn card to withdraw the money free.

Not the branch on Petchkasem Road south of Market Village! I was charged 150 baht on Friday.

At least, that's what the screen said, with an option to cotinue or stop - I haven't checked to see if it was taken from my account.
This is the way

Interesting, interesting. A BAY ATM over here in Rayong charged nothing this morning. Same screen question. Strange if they're starting this incrementally? Pete

Yes, it's strange, as the Bank of Ayudha is not charging where I am in the northeast at the moment either. I got some out yesterday and it said "Fee : 0.00".

Surely it can't be a regional thing, that would be comically Thai. However, if true, then it shouldn't surprise me at all.

I'm guessing that BofAy is just slow implementing the software. They've added the screen now to tell you the fee and give you the option to decline the transaction. I'm sure the fee will come as soon as they have the rest of the software in place or maybe they want to start on the 1st of the month.

Over here in Rayong no fee at Bank Of Ayudha on May 31, this morning June 3 there was a fee of 150. Seems June 1 was the start date here.

What about you Spirtfire up in Issan? :( Pete

Yes, I took out money with my U.S. card on the 1st and again today at B of Ay and got the fee both times.

Are any Thai Bank's ATMs still not charging the fee or was B of Ay the last to get on board?
