Maybe a strange one,
But does anyone know anywhere to buy a deep fat fryer?
When my wife was over in Scotland she thought it was a great thing, I wouldnt mind being able to make my own chunky chips also.
It would be nice to find before I make one of my visiting family members carry one over for me. lol
Deep Fat Fryer
You'll get your MAKRO-card from reception on your way in to Makro. It used to be that you
had to make a combined purchase of no less that 2.000 B on you first visit to get your card.
This was valid info two years ago, do not know of today. Btw. I do not think Makro is
cheaper than other places, but they do have an excellent selection of meat.

"There's no plausible or convincing reason, certainly no evidential one, to believe that there is such an entity (= deity) and that all observable phenomena, including the cosmological ones... are explicable without the hypothesis; you don't need the assumption."

Yep, we have one, although we bought it in Index (surprisingly cheaper...) - it looks like a miniature of the sort of fryer you'd see in a fish 'n chips shop!barrys wrote:To get a sturdy stainless stee one, go to Makro and/or the shop just outside the entrance to Makro
Incidentally, we've been using Makro for years without a Makro card.
This is the way
We've got this appliance that's brand named "Alaska".
It's a bit bigger than a regular rice cooker and is very versatile. You can steam vegetables, fish etc etc. Also, there's a chip pan strainer.
It gets seriously hot if you want and we havn't tried to do chips yet but I bet it would work.
It was a wedding present from my wife's family so must have been bought locally. I'll ask her from where.
