A long-retired senior police officer acquaintance was suffering from dementia (he died a couple of years ago). An immigration official visited him at home where he was being cared for by his Thai wife and her family. The visits were a regular thing over a period of more than five years.

Yes, my son and daughter were full of praise for the way the I/O and the bank teller dealt with my situation. A lot of compasion shown.
