I agree with Valrhona, Super Joe's point with regard to the markets in the US and UK are from what I have researched more or less correct. The problem is that this is not the US or UK. I suppose the point I am trying to make is that from an investment point of view I would personally invest in a pro...

Invest!!!
B.B. I have a property for sale, I know in order to sell it I will probably have to take a loss of between 1 to 1.5 million. Invest is not a term I would use in Thailand, the best advise I can offer you is; do not spend more than you can afford to lose! My real concern is what a lot of these develop...

Jennifer, I have had personal property stolen from my home on three occasions, after taking the time on the first instance to report it, I did not bother on the subsequent thefts, life's too short to be hanging around a police station where it is blatantly obvious you are regarded as being a nuisanc...

Philippines
I personally love the Philippines, to such an extent that I am seriously thinking of returning later this year with a view of renting (I will never buy again in Asia). I agree with the posted comments, as for the internet, I found that they seem to be still be experiencing some teething troubles but...

Justice Served
I personally think that a year is an acceptable period of time, it can take far longer in Europe, I know that it can take anything from 6 - 12 months in the UK, even if the accused pleads 'quilty' It should follow that an 'attempt' at a similar crime should depending on the circumstances receive the...

To answer the moderators question; I would most definitely not buy anything from that particular developer, for many reasons, the main being that as far as I am aware she has not fulfilled her commitments on the Chutikran 3 project. I know that she promised the same facilities as she has promised on...

Crazy 88, what is your secret? what would you do? I am not naive nor stupid, however the ONLY way to get something done here (and any other 3rd world country) whether or not you are liable is to PAY. The ONLY thing that you can negotiate is how much it is going to cost you, I will agree that if you ...

Sorry to go on but the more I think about things, the more convinced I am that the majority of Thai's do not want us here, they really are only interested in our money. After living here for three years my wife and I have concluded that ALL we are is a source of easy money for them and a few unscrup...

The developer promised many many times that road into the Chutikran estate would be correctly surfaced, it has on a few occasions been filled in and levelled but that only lasts a few days. Last year someone told me that they went to the Gov Office that deals with such things, they were told that th...

I live at Chutikran, the road to the estate is always full of pot holes etc and unless you drive a truck I would suggest it can be impassable, the Thai developer has said on many occasions that she will get the road fixed. Of course this has not and probably will not ever happen so I guess it is up ...

Living full time in Hua Hin
I have lived full time in Hua Hin for the past 4 years ......and I can not wait to get out! My advise to anyone wanting to live here full time is to first RENT for a year or so. If I had done that I am pretty sure I would never have settled permanently here, there are far nicer places, this is just ...
