The doctors in government hospitals especially in tourist or high expat numbers area's speak English, not as good as at private hospitals, but who cares. Most of them work PT in private hospitals and even cross regional. All fresh graduate doctors have to work in government hospital either as traine...

Re: The AI (artificial intelligence) thread
AI is heading towards a future where it could operate beyond our control, much like something out of a "Terminator" movie. They are not there yet, mainly because the hardware isn't ready. Interestingly, quantum computing might offer new ways to safeguard AI, through advanced security or si...

Re: The AI (artificial intelligence) thread
I am very supportive towards AI. I find that overall people were just as skeptical about the Industrial Revolution, robotics, mobile phones, social media and the internet in their early days as they are about AI now • Job Loss: A common concern across all these technologies was that machines or new ...

If there are still developments I would ask a lawyer. I had some OK experiences with the lawyer at Makro parking... let the lady Khun Parichat, handle it, she is competent and understands Thai law. When I asked her for assessments she always gave a sound advise.
Give it shot...

Re: Major Economic Issues For Thailand
This will cause some serious issues my thoughts were, but, strangely enough the major indices in the US were only slightly lower and the current Asian indices are up/down but never more than 1%....the EU indices are mainly unchained. The USD vs THB is positively effected, basically in Thailand expat...

Maybe a little late, but couldn't you have held the lady at the gas station and there for the company responsible, after all their incompetence made you trip... and when the employee can be held responsible so can the employer, but... damages only, but this worth taking the action, through a lawyer ...

Hi
Can you maybe explain me what kind of fitness you are interested? Do you have a home gym, how is it equipped, or are you referring to yoga, pilates or any other form of fitness.
Feel free to send me a personal message

Re: Thai Social Security
I am under the 435 THB scheme from SS, I extended the corporate one when I retired in 2015. When I went back to work in 2017 I kept the personal one over the one the SS company offered. You can choose your preferred hospital, as I did, initially in Bangkok, because I worked and lived there in an apa...

Re: What is going rate for Health Insurance?
The reason for insuring when you are relatively young is, that in order to be insured after 55-60 (Thai retirement age) at most Thailand based insurance companies you need to have had an insurance with them for XX years....from 50 or so I believe, not sure Who said anything about Thai insurance com...

I asked my crypto exchange in Thailand a year ago about reporting and they said; it is your responsibility. As so...

Re: What is going rate for Health Insurance?
The reason for not insuring when you're relatively young and healthy is that you're much less likely to need it, but are still paying an ever-increasing premium whether you use it or not, as pointed out above. That money may be better spent on yield-generating investments (that can also be used as ...

Re: What is going rate for Health Insurance?
With that in mind, would it be an idea not to bother with health insurance in your fifties if relatively healthy, since you’re going to get stung anyway when you get older and actually need it? There are insurances, I believe I had Avril in 2014-15, that don't worry about existing issues and you ca...
