Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
Thanks.
That seems to be very far away from the centre of Hua Hin. You'd need a taxi to get back into town.

Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
Can you say where this bus stops in Hua Hin. I've looked at their map but I'm still a little confused.
Can you be dropped off at the clock tower?
Or does the bus stop before that?
I know where the mini-vans leave from - is the bus stop near that.
Thanks.

Re: Train from Hua Hin to Bangkok
I travelled from Bangkok to Hua Hin some years ago by the 09:25 train. Windows open etc. Diesel fumes coming in the windows. Hands and face black from the fumes and the dirt flying about. Bad taste in my mouth. Not good. Suggest face mask and hand wipes especially if you intend to eat a sandwich or ...

I've travelled with Etihad a number of times over the years Ireland - Abu Dhabi - Bangkok and return with no problems.
I too like the idea of having 1 to 2 hours break in the trip.

I've gone to the Euro Guest House and Bakery.
I found it good for breakfast and it has a nice bakery too.

Re: HuaLamphong luggage trolleys
The 100 baht was a sort of 'bar fine'.
In this case you failed to say you wanted 'long time' and instead paid for a 'short time'.
Obviously this was not explained to you.

Re: Bus to Bangkok?
Hi,
July seems to be the last time this subject was spoken of.
I'm planning to be in HH in late September.
My question is - are the buses still leaving from the usual place in the Victory Monument area.
Thanks.

Re: nightlife area
Thanks for the feed back.
Will keep it in mind when I next venture to Hua Hin.
That probably won't be for awhile in view of the present state of things in Bangkok etc.

Re: Does anyone reccomend the train for scenic value?
A word of caution re train travel. The train to Hua Hin is of course a diesel train. However, the exhaust from the engines can be a little over powering. Remember the carriage windows will be open all the time so its best to get a seat as near to the back as possible so that you don't get the full e...

I would highly recommend Jings. Nice friendly people running it. Staff are friendly too and easy to get on with. They are doing a few alterations to some of the rooms right now (started two days ago). However, the end result will be more air conditioned rooms. Its perfectly located. If its bars you ...
