Yes, I'd always been told it was an 'in person' only transaction. It is obviously something that doesn't need to be in person, but the bar stool lawyers have made it so. Such a rare transaction, people just don't doubt it.

X-Rays are the property of the patient as they are paid for. You should be able to get hold of them, or at least look at them to see the break pre-op.
