Has anyone frequented the Insomnia night club on soi 88? If so is it farang friendly? The one in Bangkok is quite cool but I don't the HH one is from the same stable.

A good bar to watch the world go by is Retrophillia, above the night market. But it's not particularly cheap. You still don't see Beer Lao very often in HH so I can only thing the Thai beer companies are blocking it, at least to a certain extent. I also don't think there's much demand for it.
