Thanks for info Chelsea, I had seen that story last year, that's why I wondered if anything came of it. As usual, all talk and no action. TIT !
I've been to HH many times and was just looking for somewhere different to go for a day out. I think we will just take the bus instead.

Train to Bangsphan

I read last year they were going to organize train trips at the weekends to Bang Saphan down the coast. Are they actually running and has anyone done a day trip to there? If so, what time is the first train ?
Welcome any comments and suggestions.

Bang Saphan

Has anyone any info on Bang Saphan (or Ban Saphang, depending on spelling) ? I believe it is only about 2 1/2 hours from Hua Hin. Anyone been there, is it worthwhile for an overnight stay? 8)

Just read an article in The Nation. USA are criticising Thailand on their human rights record. Two of the things they mentioned were, "poor prison conditions" and "arbitrary arrests." A case of the pot calling the kettle black don't you think. The Thai government should remind me...

New Year celebrations in Hua Hin.

Myself, LTGF and a chum are going to be staying in Hua Hin over the New Year period. What kind of celebrations can we expect. Will there be the ubiquitous fireworks displays, like Chiang Mai ? Are there going to be any special events on?

First time in HH

If your looking for cheap rooms in Pattaya and you're not too fussy about location, you should take a walk down Soi Yamato. Its a sort of "Little Britain". Many of the bars down there have rooms above them for rent at about 400-500 baht per night. Most have air-con, tv, fridge and hot wate...
